@upTOPoverland After seeing your Shadebrkt on the trading post, I'm thinking about picking some up. I have a pretty large awning. ARQ 180 degree, opens like a fan, and reaches about 6ft from the truck. Think 2 will be enough to hold it snug?

So it's a bitch and a half then? He called a few shops and they didn't want to touch it. One shop said 30-40 hours of labor. I found that hard to believe

Should, how much does the awning weigh? We now have two different models, one of them will work

Let me know man, our new brackets are steel and we tested them with a 90lbs awning in a little offroad park and they were solid as a rock

Okay. Cool. Yeah, I'll see what I want to do and let you know. Current way I have it mounted is a PITA

Is it a normal 1500 or a Rebel? I had a Rebel for a minute and looked into swapping the air suspension because I started to hate it more and more over time. It’s not that difficult to swap out. It’s the same mounts using bags instead of coils. Any coil over that fits a normal Ram 1500 should work, pick your poison. Might need coil bucket adapters, but I’m sure they’re out there or can get them from Ram. On the rear you’d have to swap the bag mounts for coil perches and get coils and shocks. Again, anything that bolts in to a normal Ram 1500 should work. I believe you can source coils and shocks from Carli, as well. Dirt King makes a long travel kit that replaces the air ride on the Rebels too. Once it’s swapped, cap the airlines or remove the compressor completely. Finally, deal with the Air suspension warning light the rest of your life. There was talk that Ram could flash the ECU to make it go away, just not sure. At the end of the day, I decided to just get rid of the truck. Have him check out ramrebel.org. It’s a shitshow forum, worse than TW, but there are a number of guys who have done it.
