    When I was looking, Modesto Toyota had trucks and were willing to deal. I was working with a salesman named Jesus Haro. It's closer than Nebraska... (no offense Nebraska-ites)

    I took advice from this thread. Since salesman and finance guy email was their first name, and last name @villagepointetoyota.com

    I did that with Adam and Mr. Zimmerman the GM.

    Would love it if I ccould find one. Freeman Toyota was my first stop. Then was Sunnyvale Toyota. Then Napa Valley. Then OR (they wont sell me one due to Covid CA DMV). Then WA. Then Idaho, Montana, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska.

    In S. Cal 7570 is locked out by Toyota. You can't have a truck here. My best options are North or midwest.

    In my former career I worked with auto dealerships every day. Previously I could’ve called this guy’s boss at BHA corporate, but I’m out of it now.

    There are some very good people in the car business, but many who would sell their own mother if they could make a buck. Sorry you found the bad ones on this deal. I would give them a chance to find another truck within a few days, but I would certainly ask for a concession in price or free accessories.

    This is spot on it’s not the dealers, its the sales staff. The turn over is unbelievable you always want to find a sales associate that’s been there for years, the one with plaques all over the walls.

    even then it can be problematic. The top salesman at Chevy dealer here worked 16 hour days and Saturday and did well but he’s was also a coke head so he made all kinds of promises. The dealership just wants to move cars. One or two dissatisfied customers doesn’t amount to much. If they can’t locate your vehicle soon move on because it will be easier for you. Maybe you are lucky finding out what kind of people they are. What else can they screw up, best to sever that relationship.

    I’ve purchased a truck at this dealer before and traveled from a few states away because they were the best deal. I only dealt with the fleet sales manager. Put a deposit down Over the phone and they valued my trade over the phone. Drove there and left in 2 hours. Not condoning how they treated the OP but YMMV.
