I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want your local guy to loose business. But, you buy diffs from ECGS and you buy drive shafts from Tom Woods. Both have excellent customer service. Tom Woods probably does more shafts in a month then your local guy does in 2 years. They are very, very knowledgeable. Get your pinion angle and flange to flange numbers as well as full droop and full stuff. Give them that info and they'll build the shaft you actually need for the specs of the rig.

What’s up gentlemen, anyone know of any good hot springs spots along 395? Lately I’ve been thinking about heading somewhere cold where you can soak in hot water to balance the experience. It can be a small spot, I’m not looking to take a large group

Maybe try asking this again after the modified stay at home order and 120 mile travel restriction request is lifted.

So I can’t ask a question? You are making some assumptions, and thanks life is going pretty well. I hope you do well in life too!

You can ask. It just most likely won't get answered because of the current state of affairs in Cali. I'm not making any assumptions. You literally wrote:

Since you live in Liverpool a quick google search will let anyone know that 395 is MORE then 120 miles from you. It's obviously voluntary travel and against what the state is currently asking of residence. Alpine, Mono, and Inyo county are all tourist driven economies yet they are all asking that people from out of the area to comply with state orders. Your post CLEARLY shows that you plan not too and to go to one of those counties.

My life's great. I live about 20 minutes from some of those tubs. lol

Liverpool is in the UK, and interesting, NY. Who knew. I don’t know who you are, but I know many of the 209 guys who I asked. You seemed concerned about my mileage so from Bishop please don’t go further than Topaz CA north on 395, or Inyokern CA south on 395.

In light of recent members concerns let me restate my question. In the possibility of wanting to recreate outdoors, in the undisclosed possible future, of unknown distance, does anyone have a fun hot springs camp spot they’d be willing to private message me? Maybe I’ll go this summer when the reasonable state lockdowns have been lifted. I love the 395 corridor and the beauty it holds. Thanks!

Indeed. That's what I get for typing we'll thinking ahead about what I'm going to type. lol

As far as camping near the springs goes. It's discouraged to camp at them. If you pick up a copy of the book that pretty much increased traffic to every one of the springs in the 395 corridor I'm sure it'll have all the info you need.

This is the thread I was tellin you about. If you think you'll be in the area, check us out and see if we're up to anything. Last year was a slow year... hoping this year will be more exciting.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Pretty nice weather projected for this weekend. Got a laundry list of shit to do on the truck:

    Start by cleaning up garage
    Oil Change
    Replace Alternator (with Cadillac Alt)
    Replace A/C idler bearing
    Big 3 wire upgrade
    Install BMW seats
    Install vinyl to replace carpet
Give suspension a once over to check torque
    Rebuild CVs
    Check level in Tcase
    Grease Ujoints and drive shafts

What does everyone else have planned this weekend?

Subaru clutch? I was talking to my dad about it and he said Subaru made it pretty easy to pull the motor and on an awd it was definitely the way to go. The only difficulty was the turbo/intercooler.

Or have you done it already?

I still need to do my driveline.
