Yes I will call them .

My deal isn’t that great. But I was happy with it since the truck is so hard to find . About 10% off msrp

$34228 is same price offer in nor cal (didn’t have cement color for me) and WA (interior gray) for same truck

    38k is msrp

No but at 61 years of age I have had a LOT of dealings with dealerships.
The deposit was made. It was financed with a Vin recorded and the dealership stole it from her.
Call the police in their city. Report it and get a case number. Even if you don’t involve a lawyer initially. Without a police report and case number you won’t have much legal recourse if needed down the road.

Side question ... is the red interior a deal breaker? If you got a good enough price maybe the dealer could change ... or you could do the leather seat covers ... lots of people do that ...

Wait it out. If you go now, your credit score will be lower at the next dealer.

This is why I use my credit union. They run you once and you buy from anywhere

As far as OP goes, I wouldn’t deal with them. Every time you walk through the doors every person there will know how you were screwed. Think of all eyes on you. Not worth it, F them and go somewhere else. I’ll sell you a clean ‘14 with less than 40k miles for $18k

I live in this area and this ^ is spot on. This dealership caters to rich people and they treat us normals pretty bad. I never even bothered to look at their lot when I bought my truck. Get your money back they won’t help you but will take your money.

Sorry, late to this thread. Have you tried Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA. They're the #1 dealer by volume in the nation.

I’m not going through all this thread, but you never owed the truck. Until you have signed documents in hand and keys in your pocket, deposits don’t matter.

Hell, I had signed documents, 35k down deposit and still had a dealership sell a truck out from underneath me. Now I had more legal pull than you do since I had all paperwork. The dealership just waited until I lost my patience and requested my money back. They were more than happy for me to break contract so they were out of legal obligation.

My advice, never buy a truck sight unseen and see the deal through from start to finish.

This is a new truck you can get anywhere. Just take to the phone and call dealerships in rural areas. They are ecstatic to get your business and they will probably deliver for free.

Don't do business with dealers that treat you poorly and give more business to ones that treat you right.

Berkshire Hathaway Automotive acts as a management group overseeing 81 separate dealerships. The dealerships are separate business entities and the dealership GM is the king of the castle. There isn’t much teeth from BHA corporate down to the dealer on a situation like this. I have been to their HQ in Texas several times both before Warren Buffett purchased and after. AutoNation and Penske have a different structure where the group owns all the stores and can dictate what they do.

I agree with contacting Toyota and the retribution through social media blitz is left unsatisfied. The person to talk to is the GM at Village Pointe Toyota, be rational and professional when speaking with him. Looks like it’s this guy: http://linkedin.com/in/terry-zimmerman-a1480bb0
