That truck looks amazing. Be honest though, you had a hot wheels truck as a kid that looked very similar to that, didn’t you?

I probably will in the next year or so, you’re totally right, nicer door speakers would be so clear. Wanted to see how much of a difference the matting did for just the stock speakers, normally I’d swap them out at the same time. Which series of kickers did you get? Also did you replace with 6x9s in the front or go to a 6 3/4?

A few days ago I replaced my windshield (again) so today I had it retinted and detailed. It looked fantastic until it started pouring.

What kind of switch are you installing? You'd need to add a fuse for the switch. Ch4x4 is 3-5amps

It looks so well done, well built, Great job. You have good taste. Do you have a YT channel? I would love to see the build process and it flexing at speed on some sandy roads.

I tried attaching my Gerber case to the panel with Velcro, but it wouldn’t fit quite right. I ordered three cases, with free returns, on Amazon. This one made the final cut:

Amazon. I searched each item with molle in the description. Got a ton of results. I ordered a few with Prime free returns that I thought would work. Kept the ones that worked and sent the rest back.

I went with the CS series 6x9s up front and the 6 3/4 in the back doors and the Subaru tweeters in the dash. They sound so much better than the factory speakers although the rear speakers seem underpowered I’m disappointed in them. I still think I need a sub in back to complete the system. I am looking at threads to figure out the next move and how to add a sub to the factory head unit. I have a sub and an amp out of another project so I guess in time I will put it to work.

Local Toyota dealer posted this on Facebook just now. Found it interesting so I'll leave this here. Be interesting next year to see how well the Ram Dakota and baby Ranger does.

Took this bezel off that goes around the AC controls and wrapped it. My quest for a blacked out interior continues! Not exactly a life changing event since it was an SR to begin with, but...
Edit: the pictures don't do it justice because in the lighting it looks the same, LOL, trust me it's black!
