Has anyone taken delivery on a TRD off-road with the (OF) package? What exactly is included?

The standard off-road package is (OC).

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks in advance...

Yes, I actually called them to get clarification on the "unique" 18 inch wheels that are listed with the (OF) package on the website. They stood by the website info.

I ordered an (OF), but thought it included JBL and bluetooth and knew nothing about these wheels.

There are no pics of these alleged rims anywhere, and no one on a related thread had seen them either.

Suspect it may be a typo. Just trying to get clarification on it for me and anyone else down the road that plans on ordering a new Taco.

Ben, the (OF) has a different description. It is the last package on the build a toyota part of the site ($4590) Check it out if you get a minute. That's where the confusion comes in

And thanks for your service. The old man was a Marine, god rest his soul.

The OF you see is a Tundra package. It's a mistake with the website...

That's great. The stealership let me order one in the "Tacoma" version 5 weeks ago

It will be interesting to see what I get in 5 days.

    Thanks for the input, juice.

    To verify,

(OF) TRD Off-Road Package - Includes off-road-tuned suspension, Bilstein® shocks, unique 18-in. alloy wheels with P275/65R18 BFGoodrich® tires, fog lamps, fuel tank skid plates, TRD Off-Road Package graphic and Tow Package

I could only get this package to come up if I built a Tundra. I do not see (or get) an error. It could be because you build you tacoma by zip code. For instance, I can't order a T/X pro in my zip code.

Well, from what I can gather certain zip codes are getting that OF 18" package on the website for the tacoma. When I do it there's an OC and OF for the Tacoma, OC being the regular Off-road, OF being the Off-road with JBL both with 16". And the OF with 18" can only be had from the Tundra side also.

Interesting, try 16822 and see if it comes up that way.

For the record, I was building a 4x4 DC SB.

Here's what I'm getting for the 44685 zip:

TRD Off-Road Package with Additional Options $4,590

    • (FE) 50 state emissions
    • (OF) TRD OFF-ROAD PACKAGE - Includes off-road-tuned suspension, Bilstein® shocks, unique 18-in. alloy wheels with P275/65R18 BFGoodrich® tires, fog lamps (Standard on Limited models), manual sliding rear window with privacy glass (Regular Cab models only), engine (4X2 models only) and fuel tank skid plates, front tow hooks (4X2 models only), TRD Off-Road Package graphic and Tow Package (Excluding Limited & Regular Cab Models)
    • (RL) Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
    • (TO) V6 Tow Package: Class 4 Hitch, Transmission and Supplemental Oil Coolers (Transmission Cooler not available on Manual Transmission models), 130A Alternator, Heavy-Duty Battery, 7-Pin Connector with Converter

Edit: A-Ha...I see the bracketed (Standard on Limited models). The Tacoma doesn't come in a limited model, does it? I think you guys got to the bottom of it. It must be some cross-pollenation of Tundra/Tacoma websites as you mentioned...

I used your zip and the (OF) option wasn't even available. The 4x4 DC SB is what I ordered. I also built a Tundra based on xjuice's advice but couldn't pull up an (OF) package.

One of the great mysteries of the Toyota website

Now I'm really curious. I'll keep digging.

    Thanks for all the input...

Right. It also doesn't mention anything about the rear view mirror or the bed power outlet that come on the tacoma TRDs.

    Thanks everyone for the input.

What mystifies me is that the (OF) was on the Tacoma build site...then it was not available...then it was again.

Once it was pulled you would think they would have corrected the error or removed it permanently.

Oh well, guess I am getting the (OC) with JBL/bluetooth. Which is what I ordered. Regardless what my signed deal says.

Or the Tundra for 30k. Either way I'm happy :p

I found something similar during my investigation. I got out of it, then back in and couldn't order a TRD OR, I could only order the Sport? Then I got out and back in again and it was there??? Software glitch???

why do 11s don't come with JBL branded on the speakers or headunit? i thought it's still JBL, did they just remove the markings? everything looks same but missing jbl markings...

They do. If you don't have JBL markings, you don't have the JBL system. That goes for any 2005+ Tacoma, unless you took them off yourself. Scroll to post #8 and you'll see my 2011 JBL head unit and speaker cover...... http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/128175-jbl-stereo.html
