I simply went to local hardware store and bought some stainless hardware... centered everything up where I wanted it and started drilling. Hit all four corners and it’s solid as a rock. I mean, they are only rated for like 150lbs max or something... crossbars will brake off before the bolts do.

Name calling is immature. I simply implied we should have a higher level of respect for one another in spite of having different preferences.

To your second point, my post referenced TRD factory accessories, yet you replied highlighting accessories that aren’t even from the TRD accessory lineup, so you missed the mark terribly.

Not sure if anyone already asked this, but isn't it the same as women padding their bras? Kinda like false advertising if you ask me.

Does it say PRO on the grille? No.

Does it say TOYOTA on the grille? Yes.

Is the truck a TOYOTA truck?? Yes, therefore it does not meet the definition of up-badging.

Just say NO... what's next? Putting Dewalt or Milwaukee badges on your Ryobi drill? Don't try to pass shit off what it ain't.

Upbadging is kinda silly - everyone who puts Pro badging on their truck.... Makes me roll my eyes...
Debadging is cool. Classy. Shows confidence.
Rebadging especially retro/heritage badging is cool and requires a lot of confidence.

Ok so cool. By this logic if one would put TRD sport emblems on their doors, i.e. like the TRD Pro ... we’re down with that? I mean it is mimicking a PRO, but it ain’t lying as it says “Sport”.

Yeah I wouldn't call that upbadging. Just aftermarket badging. Unless those pseudo-pro badges come from the dealership, in which case it's just appropriate factory badging lol

Idk what I've even done to my truck. It's a baja, which is a TRD model, but I have a pro grille, sport grille surround, raptor lights, and no badging elsewhere on the truck except the standard door badging.

I guess I like to make people wonder. Honestly considering snagging a RAM TRX decal to slap on there just to mess with people even more.

My post mentioned TRD factory accessories. The only specific item I listed was the TRD Pro grille. You went on a rant about multiple other items on your own that aren’t genuine TRD accessories.

Yes we're down with that. It doesnt say PRO, it says SPORT so who cares.

    You think this is upbadging?

It clearly says OFFROAD, there's no reason to mistake it for a PRO.

Do you think the Lexus logo that goes over the radar on the Lexus will fit a Tacoma grill?

Trim to fit, I'm sure they make a Lexus badge overlay.

I also would not consider that up-badging. It may not be my cup of tea and I opted to not have the decals on mine, but I do think that looks good.

You don't teabag your new vehicle the day you bring it home? I thought everyone did.

This thread is hilarious. IMO To each there own. When I mod my truck it’s for me and no one else. Not sure why it bothers People what others do to there trucks. CARRY ON!! :anonymous:
