    $2286 for repairs from toyota.

When someone else is footing the bill it's less painful.

I'm going to assume that's reskinning the door, paint and blend.

Done right, 99.9% of the population will never know it happened.

Wow, i could remember back in 96 when my 2 year old toyota 4x4 pickup got nailed in the door like that. $350 later the body shop got out the dents, and repainted the door. You couldn't tell it was ever hit.

That sucks! I have a 2020 bought back in Sept and always fearful of where I park in parking lots, never mind a construction site. Also, vehicles keep getting bigger and parking spaces seem to be getting smaller!

Project manager came and found me in the building and said he hit my door. I thought he was joking. I’m the facilities director of the school district and they are doing a ventilation project at one of my schools.

They are paying for everything no questions asked including rental. (Rental is an f150) dropping my truck off this Wednesday and picking up next Monday.

New door and they are paining the front door and replacing those hinges too. Just to make sure it blends good.

Not only ask for a new door but a OEM Toyota door, NOT AN AFTERMARKET.
A buddy of mind with a 2016 had his D/S front door replaced under insurance and they went with an aftermarket door. He has had to have it adjusted twice (rubbing in front) and now it's rusting out at the bottom rear because a water drain hold is in the wrong place.

Sorry for your misfortune! Fortunately it sounds like they're handling it.

WoW, aftermarket doors and probably China made. I remember back in the day Toyotas were known to be rust buckets

That is why I am glad my 2016 was written off. Loved the truck but insurance wanted to use too many aftermarket parts for my liking. I was fine with metal as my in-laws own the shop and I know work would have been good but I did not want the aftermarket headlights and grille they would have used.

Sorry for your misfortune. When I saw the title I thought this thread was going to be where people entered pictures of their first dents to their vehicles. I sure hope my first dent is much easier to take than yours, also hope it is someone else besides me who delivers that first dent.

Yeah came out great. They tried charging for replacement hinges, but I checked before I drove off, and they never replaced them.

So I made sure they refunded the guy who paid for it for those hinges.
