People get desperate and start stealing things these days. You need to protect what you spend good money on.

The members here gave me the good solution. You don't need to get cable. You just need a bolt and put it in the middle drain hole. It keeps the mat where it should be.

I posted a photo of it. You almost can't tell it's there. But if some thief tries to pull it out, man they won't be taking it that fast.

I haven't read every post so don't kill me if someone already said this. If you used stainless steel nuts and bolts, make sure to never-seize/anti-seize on them.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
This actually happens. Happened to my Q40. I lived in a nice neighborhood and this happened right outside my front door. I had some really nice 20” forged wheels. $7k in damage to the car, along with replacement of wheels and tires. Thank God for $0 deductible comprehensive.

I assume they didn't even bother with the blocks. That is why the 7K damage? You put it on blocks after?

Thieves use the blocks to get the jack out when the job is done.

NOT needed with stainless blots, THATS why you go with stainless they won't rust.. kind of redundant ?

Yes, they used blocks from the side of my house, and pavestones from the planter in front. Yes, they used my door mat as well.

The $7k in damage was from missing everything on the first attempt at jacking it up. They folded up the transmission cooler. They also bent up the front suspension cross member. Missed the pinch weld and crushed the floor into the area where your feet go when driving. Folded a front lower control arm. In the rear they pretty much completely destroyed the drivers rear suspension, and caved in the floor of the trunk. They obviously never jacked up a car. Pretty much put the Jack wherever and went to town.

You might have to use 316 stainless.

well low quality stainless can get surface rust, but buy a better grade if your playing in the ocean with your truck but it is nothing like or as bad as low carbon bolts that will fuse together with rust.
