Ok so i had quite the night last night. We were driving around and found some mud on a canyon and then it took us into simi valley...great. To make the story short we got pulled over three times for no reason in honestly 15 min. The first cop said my liscence plate lights were too dim, i replied with"they are factory, would u like me to put leds in it for you". He walked away with nothing else to say to me. Went to get on the freeway and shifting from 3 to 4th it sounded like i missed shifted but i was still in third. While driving i could move the shifter any way i wanted with no clutch involved. I made it home in 3rd with no reverse. I have the powertrain warrenty till 2012 or 100,000 miles. So i can take it in, but i have a lift and tires. Will they give me a shit fest because the tires are too big and that could void the warrenty?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

oh ya did nothing wrong last night so no tickets. f*** simi valley never going back. sorry for those who have to live there.

What year is the truck? Is it an aftermarket warranty or factory extended? Changing wheels and tires would not void powertrain warranty. It has to be something done specificlly to that part that is in question. Good luck

You should not have any problem as long as it's not related to the clutch. Most new cars cover clutch under a 12/12 warranty or 12k/12 months.
How many miles on vehicle? Depending on the mileage if they have to remove transmission you can pay parts and have clutch installed alot cheaper.

Color matched grill w/ grillcraft. BHLM and Morimoto Mini HID's Debadged.
Linkage gone. Has nothing to do with lift or tires (i think?), so should be warrantable.

Hey, before you get it towed off I thought of one other thing to check.

Sometimes the bushing fails that bonds the upper portion of the shifter to the lower portion.

Check to see if the upper part wiggles separately from the lower part. If it does it is just the shifter lever.

Oh man, that was a nightmare. So to make the story short, i got the warrenty denied two times. So i had no car in the so cal rainstorm. Finally after lots of phone calls i got it covered underwarrenty and the dealerships was like i dont know who the hell you talked to, but it was the right guy-come get your truck its covered under warrenty.
The moral of the story is dont give up and 3 hours of phone time is worth $1200 saved.
In all took just over a week.
