Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Just want to make sure I have this right... These lights would always be on (when the ignition switch is on) and aren't dimmable, right?

Yes. The way I installed mine for the front cup holder and rear centre storage compartment the LEDs are not in direct line of site in these locations. This is just one simple option though, you could tap into a dimmable illumination circuit. This could be the circuit that goes to the shift indicator or feed back a line from a T tap in one of the switches in the front lower console. I can send the location of these taps when requested.

Thanks for making this product, super excited to get mine
I could never understand why that wasn’t illuminated from the factory.

The wire harnesses I have assembled can be used anywhere you want to illuminate inside the cab. You can tap into the auxiliary circuit of the 12v adapter in the lower front console, the centre rear console storage compartment or any dim capable illumination circuit off of an OEM switch or door switch wire harness. I supply 1 set of RED T taps for the supply harness that distributes power to 2 or 3 outputs based on order requirements.
    1. To gain access to the locations in the centre console that you want to install the LEDs you need to remove the shift knob and loosen the brake lever boot upward first.
    2. In order to pop off the centre console it is recommended to use a wide pry tool from a door panel removal kit.
    3. Locate the 12V adapter wire at the rear and unplug the cable from the adapter.
    4. Clamp the T taps as low as possible towards the front of the 12V wire harness(yellow +, white with black line -). See pic below.
    5. Connect the output Y harness to the T taps.
    6. Determine location of desired LED, drill appropriately sized hole for the LED holder using a small bit 1st and gradually increase to the final size. See pic below.
    7. Route wires away from any moving parts, connect the input LED harnesses to the output Y harness and test power to the LEDs.
    8. Re-install centre console carefully checking to make sure there are no wires that will be pinched.

I wired mine to the plug on the side of the console that you remove, that way you only have to unplug one plug.

    Yellow - negative
    Tan - positive

Do you have a pic of where you tapped into that wire harness?

Unfortunately no, I was in a hurry.
When you remove the shifter console there is one plug that stays with the console, the other one stays next to the shifter.

Tap the one on the shifter console. I wired it on my workbench.

Do you have these in the light blue like I bought for the shift knob?

Also, do they have the diodes in them to prevent back feeding?

Not sure how I didn’t see these before. Lol

I have the same colour in clear blue for sure with resistor built into the power lead already.
If you "Y" off of the 5.5mm wire harness that I supplied already you don't need a diode in this wire harness.

Any chance you could shoot me a message with the specific spot to Y off of? I’ll probably be interest in 4 of the clear blue with a couple feet of wire on each. I don’t think I’d really need the whole harnesses and t taps since I already have the shifter wired in there.
