I have developed a squeal from the engine. Sounded like a belt. It comes and goes. I think maybe the alternator or maybe tensioner. What would be the best way to isolate it?
    Thanks for your insight.

Been using the truck for a workout ever since the pandemic ‍♂️ Had to tap out the old bolt to put in the new recovery hooks

C notch time. Going to remove the bed and build an exhaust with cat delete while at it. The 2.1 pulley opened it, gonna try to milk it for a few more.

I bought an aftermarket outside door handle and it lasted less than a year. I’m waiting for door handle from Toyota ordered for $100. You can tell the difference in quality between the two.

I’m really digging that color you have going on. Is it a vinyl wrap or just a flat color? You mentioned C notch which caught my attention because I used to have a bagged ‘93 Toyota pickup out in Ft Hood Texas long ago.

Installed billet overlay. Looks awesome. Also had to replace the door handle. Usual 22 year old plastic. Mine were OEM so when it broke this week I was a little upset but not paying $120 for each OEM.

Good call, didn’t think too much about that.

I have mine like that and they are fine. Extremely wide still. Plus not sure you can move em forward without making a new bracket.

Tried to get the old catalytic converter off but only got 2 of the 4 bolts out. Rounded off one bolt and one of the special star nuts on the front one. Gonna cut it off tomorrow.

    IMG_2733.jpg

PB blast only helped a little, but it took using a breaker the entire time to even get the ones I could get off.

Just save yourself the trouble and cut it form the get go!

Just picked up my taco today. Had an 09, then moved to a 5th gen 4Runner.. after too many electrical issues after some water crossings I decided to get back into a taco. Found this 01 with an absolute mint interior, rebuilt motor, and (the kicker) a rust free frame. It’s a unicorn up here in Canada! Haha.

so far I’ve thrown down a bit of coin... all pro apex front bumper, OME lift set up with 883 coils, and some 285/75/16 Yokohama MT’s. My 4Runner is now a pavement princess lol.. gonna be pulling stuff off and selling to pay for the taco.

Finally got the 7 pin installed! Ran the power line (black) and electric brakes (blue) line on top of the frame & into the cab via the driver side grommet

I just installed the same socket and bracket. I too need to do my trailer brake controller install and power supply to my trailer battery.
