Heating and straighting not a good idea.

    Another option: Salvaged parts.

First of all. Take it to a reputable alignment shop and have them throw it up on the machine. You may not be able to physically see anything bent, but with the alignment machine you can get a good idea where to start. I mean thats what I would do.

Actually, "Cost effective" is two words ans SAS isn't a word at all, but rather initials. :D

I am not an off road guy but this made me chuckle very loud.

Mr Grammar himself. LOL It is all good John. Another chuckle in the thread for me.

To the OP did the pole break or crack? Any wires fall off?

Unless you have more accidents or speeding tickets one wreck isn't going to jack you insurance up so high it isn't worth it for you to use it now to fix your truck.

    A)Slow down
    B) Did the police come out and do a report? My ex-gf hit a pole (the proper one, not your crazy poll) and it was reported to the DMV. I think there was some charge to fix it - not atrocious, but keep in mind you might get dinged financially
    C) Glad you didn't hurt anyone.
    D) You're 16. Are you paying your insurance? Any increase won't be that much, especially if you keep your nose clean, and any police report (did you see item B?) says weather was a contributing factor.
    E) Slow down. If for no other reason than speeding tickets will jack up your insurance.

Yea I know. I thought I could do it fairly cheaply since i have alot of parts and know a guy at the local junk yard. After researching it, its much more complicated than I origanally thought. O and btw I paid for the truck outright by myself didn't I.....
