Whammo, if I recall you're in Mansfield and fly fish so our paths might cross since I'm in Vernon and we hike a lot out your way.
And it was my wife that reeled in that sailfish in my avatar. Islamorada in the Keys.

 

You are correct! We try and get out often and there are just so many great little spots to fish around here. Used to work in Enfield so I would "back road it" and twice a day cruise thru Vernon vs I-384 - I-91...more mellow, less folks!

That is a great fish, good on your wife for getting that big boy on-board! Great trip no doubt! I'm sure our paths will cross, now I'll have to ask anyone I meet in the woods: "are you Dennis, I mean CTSpruceMica from TW?" LOL I look forward to it!

I saw them Friday morning driving by to get my load, came back pulled into a tiny parking area which everyone gave me a look
Didn't care, no sign up that said no tractor trailers
I treat it same way I do off-road, if there's no sign saying your not allowed then it's free game!

Coincidentally, my girlfriend and I just arrived in VT. We were playing 20 Questions and I had Buffalo. When she asked if they live on the east coast, I said no.

I believe it's someone's farm but I couldn't stay long to find out any info unfortunately.

 

Isn't there a bison farm somewhere out our way? I think it's in Brooklyn, CT?
I know there's one in western CT in Goshen.

Looks like Derby, VT. There's a restaurant called the "Derby Cow Palace" at the intersection US 5 and Main Street that I've been to several times when driving home from Quebec City. My recollection is that you can see the elk and bison from the parking lot of that restaurant.

We love Quebec City, it's like a trip to France without getting on a plane.

 

I'm not sure, I've never been.
It would be cool to go check out though.

There had been or maybe still is a "Bison Farm" up in Hadley, MA on Rt 9. like these guys...

 

They ARE delicious...my son lives in Montana and (photo previously) is from the Nat'l Preserve there. Bison seems to be a staple on most restaurant menus (that serve meat)... I haven't met one that I didn't like!
