Celebrated my truck's 1st birthday. I came of the line in San Antonio on January 17th, 2020.

I did this a few months ago, but just posting today.

Drilled a hole in the factory bolt of the Tacoma tonneau cover and put a hitch pin through it. With the bolt out and the cover locked someone could flex it up more than you'd think. Anyways.. just gives more piece-of-mind.

Damn. Missed opportunity

 

As I don't need to access my Maxtrax very often, I bought a front bed mount from a TW member that works really well. It is out of the way, takes up almost no space, and leaves me the extra room for things I access often on the roof rack. Just a thought, your needs may be different.

Sorry for the poor photo, my recovery box is covering the mount, but it will give you an idea of how efficient the space is used.

 

As an option until you get your onboard air, I carry a

$98 VIAIR 88P Portable Compressor Kit (12V, 120 Psi, Forup to 33" Tires)

VIAIR 88P portable compressor, it works well, takes up almost no space, and I can move it from vehicle to vehicle. Just a thought.

 

I’ve had the 88p for about 6 years now and it’s proven to be very dependable. Not quite as fast as the larger cfm ARB pumps, but it’ll work!

 

I think I might have the same mount and also love it!

 

Washed it today and admired how much I like those new red/black tails.
was going to try and modify (hack) the old ones with clear lenses and paint them black, but don’t think I want to switch them out anymore.
**After posting the pic, I realized I missed the mud flaps and back of the softopper... Gonna have to fix that.

 

Vacuumed out the cowl vents. I can sleep now!

 

Installed the 2016-19 led bed light kit ... it’s very useful with a tonneau cover.

 

Some new stuff went one today! Nobody told me adding and upgrading stuff to this truck would become an obsession.

I pulled my Pro grille and replaced it with a 2020 Off Road grill. Also wrapped the emblem with some vinyl from Kevin @kcm808. IG handle is c_mento_taco_808.







Matches my steering wheel now, haha.
