It's been 4 1/2 months I've been waiting on my gears from Nitro and they even told me they would ship out the week I ordered. Yes I'm not happy, but I got the price locked in at $1200 shipped so, they get here when they get here. :notsure:

You all are missing the point here. The point is this is extremely poor custom service by the company. They should have been updating all their customers with the status of their orders every two weeks or so. To just ignore their customers and not respond to inquiries is rude and shitty customer service. The OP and other customers could have made a decision to go elsewhere for parts if the company did what they should have done and communicated with their customers. So now many months have gone by, no one knows what’s going on and their customers are screwed. I too would be frustrated with such lousy treatment by a company and would have continued to try to contact them daily. A person would be a fool to continue to do business with a company that treats you so badly. They could have returned calls, they could have replied to emails, they could have put a message what’s happening on their website. But no, instead they said screw the customer.

Treated badly is different from lacking communication.

Also, OP wasn't even charged :burp:

Wrong, no communication is being treated badly. Whether the OP was charged or not it’s still crappy service. If they had charged him it would just make a bad situation worse. If you guys like bad crappy customer service that’s fine. I’m sure sure shockwarehouse can help you out with that. If any of you have owned or worked in business you know customer service is what makes or breaks a company

I'm only in customer service

Yet I'm a customer as well.

Like I said earlier, I wasn't trying to defend the shop the OP bought from. I was simply pointing out that more than ever now, should we expect these sort of complications.

You know I have been doing Customer Service Work for years.

I will say I had a few Customers over the years that were a Royal Pain after communicating they would be updated when I knew more . Yet they made pests of them selves calling a few times a day the few thousand that would have been made was not worth it

Interesting who knows . I have no Idea What is going on in that part of the world I know losing one person because the kids are home from School or day cares are closed causes us major problems .

I have more Problems with Rock Auto maybe I need to complain about them.

this usually happens to me when im go'n the cheap route. just ordered OME suspension kit from wheelers. i called to make sure this was exactly what i needed and right parts... dude knew his shit (like most on TW do) and took his time explain'n the process. i was told everything was in stock and shop would have shocks done in 9-10 days... great CS! got 2 emails after i ordered, reviewed it and felt good about the order.
op i get it. the whole world's been fucked up for a year now and $$$ tight! but on the other hand CS reps have it hard too... man people where crazy before covid! today puts a whole new mean'n on "he went postal on'em man!"

I just hate this whole cancer culture bs. Like the world revolves around you and if you're unsatisfied you demand their business shuts down and everyone should be on board. File your complaint and move the fuck on with your life. If the topic comes up put in your two cents and drop it.

Feeling like a broken record at this point.
I ordered parts and didn't get them.
Tried contacting the company for months with no response.
That's just plain shitty whether there is a global pandemic or not.
If things are that wrecked at shockwarehouse then post a disclaimer on the website.
Don't have an active site up and running and taking orders if the place is dying.
    Maybe something like-
We are going to use covid as an excuse why we suck as a company even though we have been sucking before covid ever existed so if you like ordering parts and not receiving them for months when we told you they would be there sooner then please place an order and you will never be able to contact us again. Please don't try to contact us. Well you can try but you're not going to get anywhere. Thanks for being a sucker. Oh yeah and if you could get on the forums and try to justify our shitty customer service so we can continue to hook more suckers that would be great.

    Sincerely
    The Shockwarehouse Team

If you want to be one of the dipshits that sits around for months waiting on parts with no communication from the company then you go right ahead.
You can keep on giving these people money but I am not going to

Not arguing here but if you felt they sucked before the pandemic, and I am only saying this because of this sentence you put into your disclaimer: “We are going to use covid as an excuse why we suck as a company even though we have been sucking before covid ever existed.....”, then why order from them in the first place? At this point, you are kind of sounding like someone that just wants to complain. It sucks to be in your position but did you initiate the refund process with your credit card company or PayPal? PayPal is great with this, especially if there is no communication.

You missed the point some of those replied with earlier; no one was backing up the company you ordered from.

Majority of us were just explaining why things are the way they are; it sucks but it is largely acceptable as an excuse.

Now if the company has been this way since before the pandemic you say, then that's no good. You got the word out about their bad business practices.

Shockwarehouse has been providing bad customer service for a long time; steer clear.

There are a lot of companies though that provided great customer service, only to fall under the category of 'bad customer service/etc.' strictly due to this pandemic; I think that's what we were getting at.

Yet people will pay full price for a bumper and wait 8 months for it.

If you had a time sensitive delivery date maybe you should have ordered locally and been able to keep up with them by walking in to their store. That’s usually what I do when I need it quickly.

Stuff that I order that I usually got in a week is now taking up to 2 months to get. My production is at a crawl. The whole world is a shit show right now and I’m pretty sure shock building isn’t labeled as essential. So it may be even more months before stock starts getting back into businesses. Some of the smaller businesses may still have them in stock where large volume places run out quickly. I’ve run across out of stock supplies for myself that have no in stock or ship date. They don’t know when things will be in stock, just a matter of them showing up one day. All this crap has put many businesses behind so far that they might not have the personnel to respond to 100 emails from a single customer. What if 100’s of customers did the same and the mess you’re in to sort through all that? What if they had someone managing their website and can’t get ahold of them to update the website with info? During this time you don’t know the situations all these companies are in. They may have lost a good bit of their staff and struggling to get orders out. I imagine they’re struggling to even get stock in at this point. Imagine the shock manufacturers having to get stock to their customers (businesses) worldwide.

    TL;DR

The world is a shit show. Anything special or in high use/demand is back ordered. No one has any idea when stuff will be in stock till it shows up. If they were shit before they’re going to be even shittier now. Why order from them if they were known to have crap service.

    Yay for Friday threads. :woot:
