I just may have to. Always trying to find someone in the local area. I need to get busy with some maintenance first. I need new brakes before I drive the truck again.

I need to get on it. I have a lot of things that need done the old girl has been an afterthought for a while. My winch fried and I lost interest in working on it, then got a new job. Now I'm wanting to just drive around and explore again though. Going through options for my front brakes to add a mild upgrade. That'll get me out. Then the rest of the work can come in time.

I have the rear drums and pads. Front rotors and pads will be here tomorrow, but I have little faith in the postal system. Either way I should have them on in a week or so. Thanks for the motivation to get the old girl road worthy again. Next up, hub assemblies. I have a moan but can't tell if it's tires or bearing. Sound doesn't change when turning either way, so I'm leaning towards tires. My truck is just getting to the point where I need to do hubs, ujoints, all the little things that keep them going.

Good to hear!!! Last time I was out was when we got all that snow. The roads I took were impassable. If this weather continues I’m going to try and get up that way in feb. we will see tho. I got some beefy tire chains that I’m itching to try out!!

I'd like to get a set of tires chains just to have them. I haven't explored much up in the forest. I just hunt an area. Not too much exploring there though it's all dead end gated roads.

I'll call those the, "Ice Eaters". When do we get to test those against standard chains with the same set of KO2's like an episode of Dirt Every Day on Motortrend...?

I have a nice 30' Yankum kinetic recovery strap on its way. That makes it safe for me to take my stock really far into the abyss. It's a little cleaner having a friend pull you than putting on chains, but I'm always wanting to go into some deep snow. I say we should take a trip up North where those roads you showed me @PlatinumCloud and see how nice it is with chains.

I assure you chains are a last resort for me. I have a winch. And always have 40’ of chain plus 100’ of rope in the truck. Once you get your rig together lemme know. I’m not in a rush either. I’d like more daylight.

how much snow is up there right now?

kinda nice knowing you got you camp there. I got a place to camp in mt. Jewett if need be.

I’d also like to note; the last time we went and it got good, it was also super sketch and dunno if I’d want to go when it’s icy or high snow. If I recall it was a sheer cliff on the one side. That said I’m game for picking up where I left off.
