Every Toyota SoCal dealership now has markups on Tacomas and Tundras. I bought mine 2 months ago and was lucky to get a little discount from msrp.

I think they are keeping the incentive. 10% off sticker is roughly invoice price. Current incentive is 1000. So again about 1000 more than I would pay

Hi Julie, thanks for the info........
Just a few examples.......ok, dealer included the mat and the markup.......I bought a Preownd 2010 in June so I’ve been busy bringing it up to date, bought Toyota mat on EBay from a Toyota dealer parts dept ( a few sell on eBay, 1 in So Cal, 2 in FLA)....got it for $109.95 w/shipping included.....

Your happy buying at $34.3, dealer was happy selling it to you for $34.3.....they made money, but they also get discounts and incentives from Toyota Corporate based on volume......

your deal was for an SR5, cement, with accessories......they will find you that or better, unless YOU give them an out.

now to shipping, ok, cost on you......I wrote earlier, if I’m them, I buy you the shipping
iF they don’t, now YOU still have a choice.......let them fly you, .......do you have time to drive 21 hours/2 days.....do you want a little vacation, do you want to save about $800, do you want truck sooner, because it will easily a week if they ship it.....

i had a similar choice last year, the dealer shipped and paid

btw, the offer to fly you to the dealership was to show you, they had nothing to hide, and give you an opportunity to sign papers and get keys face to face......good sign.......guarantee you they have Corporate account for airline travel with discounts.

Another will come along. I had a similar issue. Went out of state for an Access cab TRD off road in quicksand (CA dealers refused to order a truck for me at the price others were being sold on-line).

First dealership (in Utah) had one for a steal. My last text message was, Can you send me pictures and how do I get money to you? The next message was the truck disappeared. Being an out of state deal, they didn't pull the keys to show it was being shown. Someone swooped in behind due to an inexperienced sales person/team.

The dealership tried to find me a model. Said the exact same one I was looking at was on the assembly line and destined for a Denver dealership. If I wanted to wait, they'd re-route the truck to them. Not wanting to wait for 3-4 months, I went back online. One month later the exact make/model/accessories showed up in Tucson, AZ. Got an even better deal and turned out to be cheaper since I could rent a car and pick it up and the dealership gave me a better price (BTW shout out to Precision Toyota - excellent out of state buying experience for those of us in CA).

Sucks right now, but you've got a great story to look back on when you're driving your 7570 in a few months.

local cement DCLB 0R one dealer will do msrp 40k

I’d take that OR for $3k more any day that’s my exact truck but I have galactic grey metallic. On the off-road you will get a larger locking rear differential, some interior upgrades, better looking wheels and tires, crawl control and better resale value down the road.

I was on your side until I saw the woman card being played. Do you seriously think women are easily taken advantage of or do you expect special treatment because you are a woman? This nonsense needs to stop.

I agree. I didn’t believe it until I witnessed it with female family and friends who were treated differently than I, and how I would get a different answer if I followed up. That being said, I have read all of the pages of this thread and have not seen OP play the gender card. Actually, quite the opposite.

You say there is one without red interior in Seattle, WA... Ask the NE dealer to get you this truck, but they need to order and install red interior for the agreed upon price.

I hope you’ve set yourself a time limit on how long you’re willing to let this drag before you walk if it drags beyond the most recent promises for resolution.

My internal logic would go something like this: how much more difficult will it be to start from scratch with another dealer, and how irritated am I at this dealer and want to give someone else my business. Regularly weigh the one against the other. The tipping point where you walk is in there somewhere, you just have to know how much crap you’re willing to put up with and how important that particular truck setup is to you.

Look forward to hearing about the new truck either way.

Let’s not talk her out of it already........this gets resolved in her favor late Monday, Tuesday at the latest....
seriously, how many of us (TW) thought she would get involvement and a conference call from a Dealer GM, CFO of Auto Group and legal in 24 hours........even with an offer of airline tickets....
    mr Toyota made more Tacoma’s
She has everything in her favor, without raising her voice (that does nothing).....it’s business.
Being a “cool customer” is most important. bUT the deal isn’t being re negotiated.

    Not advocating to walk.

My own personal experiences with promises made, in customer service situations, is that they are often kept, and sometimes not. Sometimes promises are made in 100% good faith by powerful people and things still go wrong, or it will take considerable time to keep the promise, decreasing the worth of the delivery on the promise.

The point of my advice was that thinking in advance of how to decide when you *will* walk, helps make decision making down the road faster and less emotional. At least it does for me.

Naturally I hope the OP receives good news in short time and doesn’t have to even worry about the flex to plan B. That doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have her decision matrix arranged ahead of time.

Are you saying you don't really hump tacos? I wonder what the legal recourse is for false advertisement  on an internet BBS.

All my family thinks I am a moron for buying a sr5 DCLB 4x4, and telling me to buy the OR DCLB 4x4.

    They agree with you 100%
