I'm not really sure what to make of this post.

Stepping back, I think that you (and others) take an optimistic view of having armed citizens in school board meetings. Where I, (and others) take a pessimistic outlook on the scenario. I'm sure that the answer is somewhere in between.

The randomness of human life makes it impractical to predict the outcomes of these hypothetical scenarios. In one, the board president shoots Duke and is hailed as a hero. In another, a bloody firefight ensues and 6 people die. Who knows?

I can only speak for myself having been around many people who felt belittled or inferior by others (either mentally or physically) and took comfort in the power of a firearm as a leveling agent. This scares me more than criminals who carry weapons. Turning to a firearm to even the playing field is a strong motivator to someone who feels helpless.

For the record, I actually do respect your opinion, although I don't agree with you. And I'm sorry for the name-calling.

    Me too.

Eh if it had been pulled off right she may have given someone the opportunity to take the guy down. A for effort, D for execution (she did manage to hit and distract him). I respect that she tried rather than simply let a murderer have his way.

lol this is Florida? It explains so much now. I guess I was thrown off that anyone on the board could form coherent sentances.

What an awful situation, but that guy who was doing the talking is an idiot. I'm a 16 year old and I'm smart enough not to talk big like that to a person with a gun. They are all lucky he didn't do some target practice before that.

I love to push people as far as i can on the internet. Its funny to see how flustered people get over something so stupid. I wish Georgia had some witty comments i could push even further.

Oh i give her and A for effort, but the timing was way off. Where is Tosh .0 for a break down. I want to hear this woman's train of thought. "I mean it works in the movies."
