I have dumb monkey hands and didn't like the 43 at all. Much prefer the shield

I have little bitch hands. Most glocks feel like I'm holding a tv remote. 43 is/was a good little stripper pistol to add to the arsenal, and Idk why but every shield I've shot is absolutely horrible beyond like 5yds.

The wife likes the single stack better. It fits here hands well enough that she can reach the mag release without shifting grip. I also found out that shield and makes a 15 round mag for the 43x if you can manage to find it in stock. I really liked the full size grip vs the 43 with the pinky flapping in the wind.

The 43x and 48 are single stack but have the same grip length as a 19 (48 is basically a single stack 19) and I prefer them the shield a lot. I have a buddy who carries one, I just never fell in love with the s&ws
^^^ this. I snagged a few of those and love it

I’m sure those LED’s are only the finest Chinese quality and will 100% catch fire eventually, I mean, after he takes off the expensive straps to resell, then the insurance payout comes...

Monday.... I'm not excited for work either, especially if its as stressful as the last few weeks have been.

On a completely different note, you reminded me I need to figure out a tablet and phone mount too. What are you 2nd gen guys doing for dash mounting?

I love the single stack size of a shield, but i can't shoot it worth shit so I just carry a compact. I might have to try the 43x. I'm hesitant though since Glocks never fit my hand comfortably and I own pretty much every M&P. It would feel traitorous to own a glock at this point.

A buddy of mine has a 43 so to compare the 48 to the 43x we swapped the slides for a few rounds (the 48 frame with 43 slide is the 43x). I really like the way both variations felt. I prefer shooting the 48, but the shorter slide on the 43x makes it more comfortable for appendix carry.

We also put the 48 slide on his 43 frame to make the most disproportionate handgun I have ever fired. They looked like this:

    3b0698f323621dc3c0c32de1d51d8cce.jpg

Top is the same as a 43x and bottom is a 43 with a 48 slide. The mag I fired did not have the pinky extension, so it felt super weird

My next handgun will be a CZ unless I just impulse buy another glock for some reason

I'm certainly happy that I did it. Seems like pretty good aftermarket support for it as well although nothing like Glock of course.
