Do you use a heating pad? I have a lat tower I use when my sciatica starts acting up. I hang from it and it seems to stretch things out. :notsure: Or maybe those things that make you hang upside down (forget what they are called), my buddy swears by his.

I use to spray WD 40 on my chrome stuff for the winter.
I spray my bike with it for storage.

inversion table? no. but i do have a a heating pad. and some gel ice packs. and when i do leave the house I've been taking Chebby because 1 - he's just more comfy and 2 - he has heated seats
my chiro thinks that most of my issues are with my spine compressing - at night the disks in your spine naturally expand and when you wake up and stand up gravity then compresses them again. since most of my issues are in the morning it seems logical that the compressing is causing it. not sure "stretching" things out further would help any.

just need to figure out how to sleep standing up....

and I decided to just leave my TENS unit on for the night. The sticky pads are only good to reuse so many times and the way things are going today I'll need it again before bed so they're staying on.

Oooff. The script may dull the pain allowing you to feel good enough to move more than you would without taking them. When I had the back issues last summer, I’d use the TENS as follows: hook up the pads, get on the floor on my back with a heating pad under my lower back, and have my rear up against the front of the couch with my legs resting on the seat cushions. Just like you’d sit in a chair but on your back. Then I’d cycle the heating pad on & off to have it nice and warm but not burning hot. That’s how the therapist (physical btw) told me how to do it. After that I had light stretches; very gentle, and not much force.
Getting up, I’d roll to my side, then on all 4’s, then slowly up. The TENS and heat did wonders; I just couldn’t get up quickly without getting light headed.

    Good luck with this.

good point...last time I used food scented (blue raspberry) car products was days prior to the window licking elk incident in Grand Teton.

I'm not sure I'd get back out of that position on a bad day like today. I tried laying on my back flat, with a pillow under my knees, on my stomach flat, stomach with a pillow under my hips. all no bueno. i couldn't get comfy in my recliner either which is odd. its not a soft lazyboy type, its a firm ergonomic chair that is designed by a chiropractor and i usually settle in just fine.
just hoping tomorrow will be better

glad you got over the worst of it yourself. now keep it that way!

i know. its just so random. if i could see a doc on a bad day maybe they'd believe me more that i've been having as much pain as i am. but you make an appt for weeks away and who knows how you're going to feel that day.

I'd just walk in that day and say "help"

it would be more of a shuffle and whimper...
and we have an urgent care but they can't do much. just tell you to see your regular doc. not sure this is worth seeing some sort of specialist

Yes, an inversion table. I’ve never used one but if I was going through what you are, I’d try anything.

Maybe it’s your bed. How old is it?
One of the many reasons I married my wife. She would rather smell WD40 than vanilla.
Exact same position I do. Hurts like heck sometimes but I think it helps me. That and stretching.

True but you can’t use vanilla to get glue off or loosen bolts.
