I never had the squeak, but I've heard a lot of people complain about it. We are selling way more icon rxt leaf packs now instead, plus I think they are a better pack anyway. We are starting to bring in Deaver to Canada too now which I'm excited about!

    Thanks Brad

We do! We sell tepui and ikamper, but we are also working on getting treeline in as well for this year.

As for using the stock Tacoma rack, it's possible, but not fully ideal

Glad to hear you are bringing Deaver to Canada. Question regarding that is below to help decide if I go Icon RXT full pack or Deaver U402 stage 3.

I am looking at changing my rear leaf pack since my Dakars (CS047R) w/D29XL aal seem to not be holding the weight as well as I'd hoped. I have Wheelers Superbumps and Bilstein 5100 B110 shocks to go with the Dakars. Last summer (loaded for camping) I was riding approximately 1-1.5" off the bumpstops and could feel them hitting/touching when going over some dips on the highway. I will be adding a Drifta drawer system and fridge this summer. I plan to weigh my truck this year to see what it actually weighs when fully loaded for camping but want to know if the Deaver U402 stage III will be enough for me and work with my extended travel 5100 B110 shocks.

Best bet is to weigh your truck to know for sure where you want to be. I usually weigh mine at any closed truck scales, as the scale is usually still working. That, or when I bring metal to recycling, they have a full vehicle scale usually as well.

The stage III Deaver is rated for more weight than the icon rxt in option 3 mode. Your pictures show the back end pretty high up, but I guess that's empty? Ideally get your bumps around 3-4" off the bumps so you have closer to 5.5" of up travel

Thanks for the super fast reply. I will definitely be weighing the truck this summer since it will finally be done. Good info about the stage 3 Deaver being rated for more weight than the Icon RXT in option 3. I'm thinking I'll likely be needing the Deaver stage 3 for everything I'm running. Do you see any issues worth the Deaver stage 3 and my Bilstein 5100 B110 shocks?

I dunno man, I hate to break it to ya, but I don't think that's possible! :bananadead:

You shouldn't have any issues, but the shocks might slightly limit the down travel of the leafs. But I'm pretty sure that's just the case with any shock using the stock locations on a Tacoma, at least in my experience.

Love seeing more options being brought into Canada! :canada:

I recently phoned in from up north and inquired about some Hammer Hangers. Very much looking forward to pay day :fingerscrossed:

Right on! How far north? I grew up on Haida Gwaii, but worked in fort st. John for a while.

Man the hammer hangers make such a difference to the feel of the truck it's actually crazy what some extra stiffness to an otherwise floppy frame can do

I’m in Prince George. Would love to spend some time on Haida Gwaii one day.

Hoping to order a set of them soon I hear they are a really great upgrade

so what would you recommend? We are looking at the x-cover so we can carry they kayaks or paddle boards - but can use the stock rack for that if there is a better option

Personally, I prefer having the tent over the bed with a bed rack, rather than over the cab. You can keep it low to save fuel, and still put your boards or whatever on the roof.

The x-cover is a cool option with the rack build it. Of course you still have to take everything off to open the tent though.

Haha not a bad thing! I just try to carry as little as I can to save space and weight but still be able to fix anything I come across. Hasn't failed yet!

    @WormSquirts

Just trying to plan ahead and am looking for some information.
    - What is the timeline to get Deaver U402 Expo leaf packs?
    - What is the approximate cost?

If you don't want to clutter up this thread just shoot me a PM.
    Thank you.
