When I was leaving Trail Head, I asked one of the guys to put the bike on my rack for me. That thing is heavy!

The Heckler is a great bike w/o the motor! As for comparison, the Specialized is only a little better spec'd motor wise that you could argue they're the same. Fantastic bike. Congrats!

Made the mistake of renting a Turbo Levo to see what they were all about. I ended up selling my Surly and gave a deposit on one at my LBS. I ordered the Comp in Spruce green. I have a pile of upgrades just sitting waiting

Just curious, to the guys buying ebikes, how old are you? I’m 59 and just bought a new bike, did I think about an ebike? For a second, I’m just not there yet. I like the exercise this sport demands.

I’m 28 and if I didn’t have a million hobbies I’d probably have 3 mountain bikes: one hardtail, one trail bike, and one ebike

Yeti SB130, only upgraded the rear cassette to an X01 and changed out the grips—oh and switched from flats to clips for more power on technical climbs. I have a deep BMX background, so I'll ride either. Love this thing, climbs and descends so well. Photo of the day I got her plus a few pics from some rides in natural habitats.

I think if you rode one, you'd understand an e-bike can give you the same and (maybe better) workout because of the way you ride it.

    It's not a replacement. It's just different.

My right knee has been a piece of crap since a sports mishap in my teens. I don't see myself ever going back to a regular bike unless I was buying a downhill bike. I have found myself with the rental staying out longer. I felt like I got a good workout vs. riding my normal bike where I felt beat up.

So many good deals on used bikes. So many peeps get bikes and don’t really ride them end up selling them.

Good, top end bikes? Where? Not here at all, like hardly if ever. And if there is a used good bike, just a couple hundred bucks less than new.

    Yeah.
Check on Pinkbike. I tend to keep stuff for a couple of years and then get the itch for something new (I'm pretty settled now, though). What I see on Pinkbike is typically quite a bit less than new.

There’s still some deals to be had out there. Haven’t seen anything I’d call a ‘good deal’ in a while though.

Anyone know how much I can expect to pay to have my front fork rebuilt? The bike is a '09 or '10 Giant Reign and the front fork recently just depresses all the way down without much effort. It's an air fork, i bought a pump specifically for it just thinking some air had escaped. It pumps back up and works for like 5 seconds then just goes back to being broken.
