You melted the fuel pump, it's just a thin flap of plastic gasket material.
Try true fuel on first start up next time.
Always drain fuel after use.

 

Can anyone confirm that M8-1.25 bolts are the ones used for the skid plate?
The bolt I brought is fckd up and that’s what I’ve found googling

Yea that's your issue. You need to take that bottom plate off. There'll be a rubber diaphragm that I bet is crispy stiff and needs replacing. Plus the Vinton tipped needle, they can a be a bitch and a half to set up if you've never done it. Don't loose the spring, those don't come in the rebuild kit.

More than likely it'll be a zama carb.. on the side of it they'll be embossed lettering on one side and the opposite side with have a 2 or 3 digit number. Those combined are the "model number" of the carb. Any small engine shop in your area should be able to order a rebuild kit... They're gunna be around 15 bucks
