My 340 has been great. Like you said it is so easy to cook. I love the app, I can turn it on at work and monitor/receive alerts, and tell the woman at home to put something on when it is ready. I had issues at first with it holding temp using Traeger pellets. I called recteq CS and nobody answered, but 3 different people called me back within an hour to make sure I was helped . They recommended I try some pit boss pellets that were available near-by, and sure enough it started working perfectly. Traeger pellets have worked since, but not as well as other brands. I am using Bear Mountain pellets right now and really like them.

I clean it out every few cooks, as the ash building up can affect temp holding. I have a bunch of dewalt tools, so I bought a dewalt cordless vac just for cleaning the grill, it only takes a few minutes.

This is some drama so read at your own risk but sounds like the Traeger pellets are not so great. And this was part of what kept me away from Traeger too.

Bear Mountain pellets was having a BOGO deal, buy as many as you want and get the same amount free. I bought 6 different flavors to try out.

I've heard good things about those, also Lumberjack.

I tried some of the Kingsford charcoal pellets, they were OK, but burned up very quickly...I went through a 20lb bag in only two cooks (about 7-8hrs each).

I was going to try Lumberjack next, but really like the bear mountain so far. The bourbon was good and I'm on the bag of apple now.

That's good to know, I was debating trying those.

I'm trying a couple too but if I like them I may do a bulk order of Lumberjack. I have a buddy who wants a bunch too, may split a half ton. Cheaper the more you buy, if anyone wants in LMK.

Half ton is $354 before shipping, a full ton would be cheaper but I have to call to find out. Not sure what shipping would be, may have them drop them at a Lumberjack dealer and I'll just pick them up. Or maybe can have them shipped cheaper if we use a dock as Andy suggested. I'll be a couple weeks, I'll gauge interest with you guys and see who is interested and how much we would want then.

The kid in me wants to slide down that hill in my old white water yak and into the lake. We can set up an epic water slide with some crawlspace plastic and a water hose :D
