Hoping I can get some quick help. I am installing 6112/5160’s on Wednesday. I am thinking of either doing the 4/5 or 5/6 option that would give me 1.5 or 2 inches of lift. I am doing a leaf pack RXT and deciding on option 2 or 3. I have 300 constant load with a GFC on the back and then do have maybe 100 of other weight in gear and maybe will do a drawer build eventually.

what do you all suggest on option 2 or 3 looking better with 1.5 or 2 inches of lift in the front running 265-70-17’s?

Your option 2, borderline 3. With drawers you’re going to want 3. Prob pair that with 2”

Thanks for the help! Makes sense. Should give me 2 in the front and roughly 2 in the rear as an option three with 600 constant is 1.125 and I’d have around half that as a daily driver. Do you think that combo would look good with 265-70-17’s? I would imagine it would. Any one have pics by chance?

Does anyone know if there is an “add a leaf” or overload leaf that I can add on to option 3? I called icon and the tech was helpful and he said there was a leaf I can add in but when he put me on hold super quick he then did a 180 and said the leaf pack can’t be “modified” in any way

I remember asking them a similar question but in the opposite effect(removing another leaf) and they gave me the same answer. I believe they don’t recommend modifying it outside of the provided options and it’s more of an “at your own risk.”

your correct. I thought was just about to get the answer on what leaf I could add in but then the tech wouldn’t tell me that after he chatted with his coworkers. I’m not totally fluent in leaf springs and don’t want to buy multiple overload or extra leafs trying to find one that works. Does anyone know one that will fit?

Can’t help much with your tire size. Pretend mine were a wee bit wider and about an inch smaller in diameter.
255/80/17’s. Option 2 and about 250lb in back. (1.5” front)

Looking to pull the trigger on a set of RXT leaf pack for my 2011 DCLB and pair with Bilstein 5100 and OME 886 springs. Would you all buy them again after using them? Looking to know if this is a solid setup before I pull the trigger this week.

ide probably go with a full custom pack from alcan or deaver, but that being said the rxt pack has been pretty solid

I’m not sure I understand your response. You won’t buy icon again but you like the leaf pack from icon?

I’ve been extremely pleased with my leafs. I’d buy them again.

leaf pack is good. Does the job. Adjustability is nice. Get leaf liners, mine are loud.

I would go archive garage or deaver next

Customer service with icon is horrible. I don’t like supporting a company with my business that has no customer service.

Ok, installed new king 2.5 with resi and adjusters front and rear, plus option 2 on the rxt pack and wow! With a constant load of 100ish pounds it’s firm but plush! Feels like waaay more travel in the rear than my previous set up( 6112/5160 with aal)

I love my RXT’s. Best 700 of squeaky-ness I’ve ever invested in a vehicle. However. If funds weren’t an issue I’d do spring under and shock relocation

Pulled the trigger on the RXT pack today from Wheelers. Looking at putting the Bilstein 5100’s and OME 885 due to budget constraints. Anyone running this setup can comment?

Currently running the RXTs with 5100 up front and 887 (Same spring rate slightly taller than 885) absolutely love the combo!

Ok good to know thanks. Are you running aftermarket UCA’s with the 887? I think I’ll go with the 885 not looking for too crazy of a lift up front, around 2 inches.

That exact setup. I have B110 Tundras in the back (just longer travel 5100s), extended brake lines and sumo springs as my bump stops to help when I tow. My only regret was buying new “top hats” that weren’t OEM Toyota. Now the rubber is all cracked and looks shot...less than 2 years in. Disassemble your originals and use those.

Yep I went with JBA UCA's great price and great quality, I know a lot of people who go with 885's don't need aftermarket UCA's because 885's don't take you too far from spec but its borderline.

Check out this thread: 66 pages of 885/5100. I followed that thread for a long time until I decided to go 887's.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bilstein-5100-w-ome-885.409929/

I am also running B110's in the rear, 5100's up front. Great ride combo with the RXTs. I went with complete fronts, tophats included. With the age of my truck and the amount of rust everywhere I knew the rubber was going to be dry rotted around those top hats. I didn't want to run into the situation you are in.
