Jimmy the Cali raised switch should work just fine wired per my first link, it has the same wiring instructions as the CH4X4 and Mictuning switch.

David I changed my post.. after looking at the links you provided.. It does look doable thanks to that info. How did you get the switch panel off. Today I tried to separate the steering column
covers (clamshells) off and they will not come apart for me.. without using tools..it's like mine are glued together ...

    Pm sent.
Are you talking about the little switch panel to the left of the steering wheel? That’s the one I removed to wire to pin 26 and to the cargo connector and install the switch. I used a plastic trim removal tool to carefully pry out the upper left corner of the panel, them pulled out the other corners. Came right out.
I could explain how to remove the steering column clamshell but not sure why you would do this if using a switch in the lower left panel, not required unless you are doing the stalk add on method instead of the switch.
Edit: perhaps you want to remove the cover just to see if you were “pre-wired”. Just follow Nitoris first post for this however I too had a little trouble separating and later learned after screw removal, if you press in on both sides of the lower panel, it will separate the locking tabs there (toward the end of the sides toward the dash if I remember right.)

don’t mean to bring up an old thread... but do these steps also work if we decide to go a non OEM route? plan on getting Diode Dynamic fogs.

Yes, the SS3 fogs will be plug and play as intended. Once you complete these steps

added extra tie downs in bed, the tool-less 32oz cupholder mod, fog lights in process...
Does everything here work the same way on SR5's? I checked under the steering wheel and I do have the 2 wires so it appears to be prewired..also have the connection on center bumper behind the grill.

It will operate as if you had fogs installed from the factory

    You're golden.
If you jump the blue to the green on C11, the fogs illuminate with the Tail/Parking light. No added switch.

Dash switch works as well if wired in correctly. I did it since I wasn’t thrilled about messing with the airbag lol

Yup. The method for a dash switch, the way I did it, is also on one of the pages in this thread.

Did you follow the directions on this thread? I'm going to have a friend help with this since I don't know much about wiring and don't want to mess with the airbag either. I was planning on following this guy's directions on youtube until I found out it was pre-wired.... https://youtu.be/zr82GLFWzPc
