Will an RCI transmission skid plate fit with the URD Y Pipe that I have?

I would, but I don’t have the truck yet. I have the Y pipe, but I don’t have the truck yet. Still waiting on it to be built and get here.

Have you talk to the technician at RCI? Maybe they can give you a answer?

Nope. I was really hoping that someone on here had already tried it. So.....I guess I'll have to make a phone call soon.

I'm going to guess and say no, it won't work. Mainly because you have to remove the stock cross bars that are under the cats. That URD pipe looks like it dips right along next to the passenger side. The RCI skid gets installed after removing those and it makes a flat space along the frame.

    Near 3:50 in the video.

Unless you have the Mark 2 Y pipe. Sounds like they addressed the under the frame rail issue there.

Then you should be good. I'd still call to confirm though.

Didn’t work well for me and URD after sending photos of how my exhaust which is the mark 2 hung below the crossmember. URD replied saying it works in their shop. I thought “ that’s great and I’m so happy for you but your product doesn’t work and hangs below the crossmember making most all skid plates not compatible”.

Here area some pics. Second picture is right level with the transfer case skid looking forward and you can see it peeking below on the right. I ended up taking it to a shop and they did some stuff to it to make it work. Overall I can’t recommend URD though due to poor customer service and getting the run around from them. But I like how it sounds with my TRD exhaust and the purpose it serves after the fuss

Yeah I ordered from @Truck Brigade and they were absolutely fantastic. TBH, idk how far out my order is though haha. Fairly certain I have the mk2 version as well.

How far out is your combination?

LOL!! I still haven't got a VIN on the truck yet. I'm just getting things together for it.

So I called RCI today, and they told me that the transmission and transfer case skid plates will fit. So I pulled the trigger and ordered them. We'll see if they were right.

This is for the skids with the reroute option for higher clearance right? Happy you posted asking this cause I was about to pull the trigger on the URD and have the rci with reroute option sitting in the garage.

man that doesn’t even look close before taking it to a shop. You sure you got the mark II? It looks like it’s tucked up more on their website.

Yeah, I got the reroute option skids. All of this will be sitting here at the house waiting for the truck to arrive.
