Thanks Art. We really haven't done much exploring yet but where we are staying is a nice area. Our rented condo is on the barrier island so we don't get a lot of traffic. Life is good .

Walked down to the beach today and it was nice and clean and inviting.

But what caught my eye was the water temperature! Warmer than the air temperature. 20210118_150046.jpg

Looks awesome! But no pets, no fishing, no surfing, no bbq’s? Not sure I could deal with that. But I see no restrictions on alcohol so I’m good, I’m in.

This section of beach is for bathers and tanners. Either side is open for dogs, fishing, surfing. Not sure about BBQing. Always nice to have a cold beverage while soaking up some sun:thumbsup:.

The water temp is about the warmest the water gets in Ocean City MD.

I hope this is a new one here -if not - OH well!!

    The Old Doberman

Yeh, you heard this before but your memory
is about shot, so this is just a reminder.

An old Doberman starts chasing rabbits but before long discovers that he's lost.
Wandering about, he notices a young lion heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old Doberman thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep shit now! Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat.

Just as the lion is about to leap, the old Doberman exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious lion! I wonder if there are any more around here?

Hearing this, the young lion halts his attack in mid-stride. A look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees "Whew!," says the lion, "That was close! That old Doberman nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the lion. So, off he goes.

The squirrel soon catches up with the lion, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the lion. The young lion is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!

Now, the old Doberman sees the lion coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" Instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet. Just when they get close enough to hear, the old Doberman says, "Where's that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another lion!"

    Moral of This Story
Don't mess with the old dogs.
Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery!
Bull Shit and brilliance only come with age and experience

If you don't send this to two 'old' goats right away, there will be two fewer people laughing in the world.
I am in no way insinuating that you are old, just "youthfully challenged".
You did notice the size of the print, didn't you?

Well, I guess winter is finally here. All day rain, and temp inside the house didn't get over 66*. That be freezing weather for us thin skinned Hawaiians!

We’re still avoiding winter in SoCal. Another 70’s day. Though the evening does have a thick marine layer. Might just be forced to BBQ today.

Good morning all! A balmy 32F this morning here in northeast PA. Sure beats that warm weather some of you are suffering!! And, that nasty sun is still hidden by all that wonderful cloud cover. I love this weather!!! (If I type this crap enough, I might begin to believe it).

    Stay safe out there!!

    Morning all:
That venison taco looks quite tasty, my buddy gave me a venison meal that his wife made from the neck roast, it was DELICIOUS!

Like the story about the dog, the lion, and the squirrel , maybe the old Doberman applied the same thought process to get old! :)

Flintlock is over, I had my chance at the only deer I saw and my buddy didn't get a shot. We waited for the FL season to hunt doe, got the snow we wanted, and then things went to crap when it got crunchy and no wind. He likes to still hunt, I'm better sitting, he couldn't get close to deer and the ones that he moved I never saw except for the one that I missed. Next year I think it's time to go 100% archery and early ML, then only rely on the other seasons if needed.
Everywhere we went there were coyote tracks all over the place, we will be hunting them shortly but they are tough to get, even getting 1 will be an accomplishment!

morning all, Mark great story OH that goes for both of you - weather and dog - LOL.

Woke to 4" of the white stuff and 12 degree's - balmy. Just enough that I will have to plow and shovel now with all we got the last few days.

At least it gives me something to do other than walking the dogs today :bananadance: :annoyed:

Have a great day everyone - stay safe and warm for those that aren't in the warm parts of the country for this time of year.

A little something every chance we get.
    Good Morning everyone. :pccoffee:
A week with good rain chances starts today, and that is actually a good thing around here - just makes it harder to do stuff. But, if stuck inside, I suppose I can start to sort and organize stuff in the garage.....
Actually got signed up for a "will contact you when you can make an appointment list" this morning, so that's good. It's only the next county over, but right around where I used to work; so, like 20 minutes away. We just don't get any vaccine allocated here, so I will take it.
    Stay shiny!

Probably a vitamin D deficiency. They have pills for that. I always get a kick out of folks who complain about winter where they live. But ask them why they don’t move and the answer turns out to be some variation of I like it here.
