Lol, sounds like you do need a new set. I really would have liked to have the crest match the wheel color but my only option for that would be to make a stencil and find a spray paint that matches. The vinyls are not close enough.

Hoping y’all are doing well. Anyone here try to lower the coil over height while installed on the truck yet?

adding a canopy soon and thinking I might need to drop the front to avoid some bro lean.

On a side note: I have had my suspension for 8k miles and almost 9 months now and still happy with it. I have the squeak I need to figure out, but other than that it has been solid.

Things are going well here, hope the same for you. That’s great to hear still happy with it.
I had considered maybe lowering the front a bit after the new wheels and tires but I think I looks good and there is no running anywhere.

I have about 2k on my kit now. I do think I have a driveline vibration. It’s tough to tell since I’m not driving those speeds much but feels like she shakes between 55 and 60. Could feel it with stock and aftermarket wheels. It could also just be the roads here suck lol. im going to wait to mess with it after I change the UCAs.

Yeah I lowered mine while installing it. I didn't have a spring compressor, or a good way to keep the shock in place while lowering, so I did it after mounting it.
It was a bit of a PIA, even spraying a little lube in there. If your shocks are dirty, or the set screws have messed with the threads, I'll bet it will suck.

I have the Ironman spanner tool if you want to borrow it.

I have a hard time figuring out vibrations. I feel something occasionally, but like you said I can’t tell if it’s the road(or in my case 6yr old tires). glad your enjoying too.

I suffered thru a vibration I couldn't pinpoint for a few months. I read up on all the possible causes, and installed 3º leaf pack shims, but it was still there. Then I found a thread that mentioned running a string line from the fore and aft grease zerks, with the carrier bearing in the middle, so you can see if the driveline is in a straight line. I can't remember who posted it or I would give credit. Mine was only off 1/4", but centering it eliminated the vibration.
It's a pretty easy test and fix compared to other possible vibration fixes. Loosen two bolts, tap the carrier bearing mount over to center it, tighten the bolts.

    That is awesome!
I’ll have to look at the threads and see. Might take a wire brush to the threads and clean them some too.
I plan on getting new tires in March and the Canopy should arrive then too. I will probably reach out around then. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ill have to see if I can do something like that. Mine only has zerks on the front, I think. Good idea though. I didn’t install the carrier bearing drop kit, so I might have to lol.

I lowered them while still on the truck. They were a bitch, but it's possible. I used the Amazon 80-90 spanner wrench mentioned earlier in this thread, required a breaker bar on the end, also scraped up the lock nuts, so if you're all about appearance, be conscious of that. I have since purchased the Ironman spanner, haven't used it yet though.
Wheel wells literally let it turn maybe 20% at a time. Pretty time consuming but lets you get a decent workout in! It is possible.
I have vibrations, setup an appt to get it looked at, don't have the resources to tinker and troubleshoot. Also worried about the needle bearing. Will also have the shop lower the front again and they're pretty insistent on adding a diff drop. "Any lift should have diff drop". All this means another alignment also, hopefully get a bit more caster out of them. Thats first part of next week; I'll admit, the front is still pretty damn stiff. I wouldn't mind it softening up just a little. :bikewhoops:

Thanks. I’m only thinking I’ll have to turn it down a .25” which is plenty of turns still I’m sure. But I’ll look it over.

An update on my install and performance so far. I installed the Stage 1 Nitro Kit and have about 800 miles on it. I have performance springs and leak pack. I have found the front springs to be a little stiff. The front of my truck is all stock. The rear leaf pack has been a massive improvement. I have an ARE topper and a Prinsu rack. I usually have a mtn bike or two in the bed or on a hitch rack. No sag and ride is great. I am running 255/85/16 Falken MT's. No rubbing anywhere. The ride has been a real improvement. I crawled underneath this week to check the torque on bolts (spindle, top hat, sway bar, lower shock mount, all leaf shackles, u-bolts and lower rear shock mount). Surprisingly I found many of them needed to be re-torqued. And some not just a little bit. I am not sure if any of you have checked, but you might want to.

thanks for the update and I agree with checking the torques on everything. I also put torque stripe on the nuts just for a quick visual check.

Finished the last part of my lift yesterday with the SPC uppers and threw it the carrier bearing drop kit today to see if it helps a possible vibration at 55-60mph. Now for another alignment and should be good to go.

Got around to take a test drive yesterday (must have pulled a muscle changing out the UCAs, and didn’t want to drive till I could turn my head). During the instal I (should know better) did 3 things, the UCAs, lowered tire pressure to 35psi (from 40) and added the carrier bearing drop kit spacers. Truck feels way to bouncy now and I think a vibration when getting going and taking a turn. Still noticed vibrations around 50mph. I’ll be removing the spacer kit and putting in something about half of the thickness. I have an alignment scheduled for Saturday so that may help as well.
For those curious, I set the SPC to “D” and its slide out all the way towards the wheel. I’ll give an update of the alignment after it’s done.

What feels bouncy the ride? Like the suspension isn’t firm? Also what spring did you go with and how much lift did you get? I’m looking into this kit but I just want 2.5” lift in the front and I know the measurements have been all over the place as to where to set the seat height.
