As I was watching the above video, I was thinking motorcycle fashion is very behind function. Id rather be functional than fashionable when on a bike. That said, I also dont want to be wearing a pink jacket on my yellow bike..

Nope, just in general. I would look silly wearing crocs on the grom.

My fiance won't buy me crocs. I should tell her that they'd be safer than my safety sandals from this summer, drop 'em into 4x4 mode and they'll at least stay on my feet.

I became a Croc convert last year. I’m on my second pair and I don’t think I’ve gone a day without wearing them at least around the house or to take the trash out. I’ve welded in them and worked on my truck in them. I have the bistros- they don’t have the holes in them and they have a lip at the heel that keeps them on your foot without using the strap.
I swore I’d never get some but they’re so damn useful, I had to get them.
FYI: if you leave them in direct sun at the campsite during summer, they’ll shrink a full size.

I'll probably pick some up for the summer. I had a nice pair of birkenstocks for years that finally broke last Spring, which I then replaced with a $30 pair off Amazon that are completely toast after this summer (see: safety sandals), I'm thinking a pair of crocs are going to be next, I keep threatening to buy some. I think as long as I don't put any "jibbitz" on them she won't call off the engagement.

And the shrinking part is a pro-tip, I had no idea they'd do that

Well, that escalated quickly, I just ordered a pair of the "specialist II vent clogs". Look like the bistro but with the side vents open instead of closed.

I'm not telling the fiance and am just going to start wearing them when they get here and see how long it takes her to notice :anonymous:

This thread has certainly taken a sharp downhill turn.....Crocs? Really?

Back to the MC related info, the Buell cold weather gear I bought back in 1996 is still what I wear for cold weather riding regardless of what bike I'm on. Not quite as waterproof as when it was new and I've had to get a seamstress friend to make some repairs to the jacket but ti's still the warmest stuff I've ever owned. I've managed to add just short of 500 miles to the FJR just since January 1.
