It amazes me the IRS can be so quick to demand money (and or take it from you), but when it's due to you, they scream "HOLD UP!" But that is a debate for another day.

    In other news:

What did I do for my 3rd Gen Taco today?

I let the battery run down. I'm guessing I might have left a light on inside? I tried to crank it up this afternoon, and it was a no go. On first try, it clicked several times and would never turn over. Second time, same thing. Then I propped the hood up to make sure all the connections on the battery were good. Tried a third time, and it wouldn't even make the "click" sound. Then it dawned on the interior lights (a la @MESO ) weren't even bright anymore. Have a friend helping boost it off in the morning after work. Hoping it's only a battery. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

@playdixie we have all let lights on sucks but good that you have help.
I have a battery charger in case and an RV battery on a tender all winter.

I actually owed the IRS money years ago and they were pretty good to work with as far as payments. I wouldn't push them too far, they did put Al Capone in jail for tax evasion.

I'm having the same issue recently with my 2017 TRD OR. Just 2 days of sitting and the battery is dead. I did have the battery replaced just 1 year ago at around 60000 klms. I have disconnected all aux circuits that may be bleeding power so will see if that is the culprit.

Some of us are already running the version with the TRD embossed, for a faux TRD skid plate they have held up very well.

there is one sell on Amazon for same price, it’s much easier to return it.

it’s close to OEM, both has similar weight.

I installed Trd pro exhaust for long bed to my short bed truck.
I have to cut about 14inch off the long bed exhaust, currently hold by exhaust clamp. Till my friend have time to weld it for me.

I only pay 400plus 3hour travel for the exhaust.

Not a bad price. But I guess I'm curious as to why it seems each reviewer is saying to move the bolts and spacers? They each repeated each other saying the stuff was put on wrong from whatever factory these come from.

Looks like exactly the same thing, most of the product photos are the same. Good deal if you want to use Amazon.

The factory probably first time making the skid plate, they probably don’t know what’s going on. I think as long as their come with correct hardware is fine.

Well after a small Google search, I'm sure this item is a cheap Chinese knock-off. "Cheap" being an operative word here. However, according to Google, the name "Kuafu" is a giant in Chinese mythology who tried to catch the sun.

I’ve been debating about paying $370 at a dealership about an hour away and just driving to pick it up. With where you live, I think I would have driven the 90 minutes and picked up the OEM skid plate at Team Toyota of Glen Mills for $340. I’m thinking I may contact my dealer and ask if they want to give me the $370 price or see if I should just drive the hour and let them lose the sale to another dealership. Regardless, the one you ordered does look good and solid.

Lol, nothing wrong with knock off, it cheap and price is cheap. It seems same weight is OEM, we need test the material or we never know the difference.

Completely agree. Gonna put that on my "watch list" on Amazon. Tax refund or if we are lucky enough, put part of that $1400 covid relief to work.

There's a lot wrong with knock-offs... But to each their own.

Put in the Rough Country Mille side panel today. Was curious to see how it fit with the softtopper.
Panel needs to bend to accommodate the clamps, assume this will be an issue with any topper using these style clamps. Topper still folds fine.
Otherwise, they’re super durable and solid.
FYI, driver side will not fit since that side compartment is gone.

Let us know how is it. I almost pickup a RCI (used) plate for 280.
