The factory probably first time making the skid plate, they probably don’t know what’s going on. I think as long as their come with correct hardware is fine.

Well after a small Google search, I'm sure this item is a cheap Chinese knock-off. "Cheap" being an operative word here. However, according to Google, the name "Kuafu" is a giant in Chinese mythology who tried to catch the sun.

I’ve been debating about paying $370 at a dealership about an hour away and just driving to pick it up. With where you live, I think I would have driven the 90 minutes and picked up the OEM skid plate at Team Toyota of Glen Mills for $340. I’m thinking I may contact my dealer and ask if they want to give me the $370 price or see if I should just drive the hour and let them lose the sale to another dealership. Regardless, the one you ordered does look good and solid.

Lol, nothing wrong with knock off, it cheap and price is cheap. It seems same weight is OEM, we need test the material or we never know the difference.

Completely agree. Gonna put that on my "watch list" on Amazon. Tax refund or if we are lucky enough, put part of that $1400 covid relief to work.

There's a lot wrong with knock-offs... But to each their own.

Put in the Rough Country Mille side panel today. Was curious to see how it fit with the softtopper.
Panel needs to bend to accommodate the clamps, assume this will be an issue with any topper using these style clamps. Topper still folds fine.
Otherwise, they’re super durable and solid.
FYI, driver side will not fit since that side compartment is gone.

Most likely the "not TRD stamped" skid plate is made by a sister company to the OEM skid plate manufacturer.
As an example I have a TRD Pro shift knob and a "faux" TRD Pro shift knob. I'm quite sure they are made by the same manufacturer. The only difference seems to be the TRD monogram.

i think there only handful the factory will building this. I think those just get into the market, maybe next year will be cheaper but worse quality.

sometime the product do not passed the QC, so they can sell as off brand or OEM company over 50,000 unit, the factory will making 10% more in case there is a problem.

Ok - finally had time to put in the front Anytime Camera (with upgraded camera).
    Drilled the hole.
    IMG_7796.jpg

Fitted the Camera so it looked good and didn't stick out over the edge.
    IMG_7797.jpg

Had to Dremel away some of the plastic to get the lock nut on it.
    IMG_7800.jpg

AND... here it is. Front Anytime Camera - in place. Now all I have to do is finish wiring it up.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I did not paint the lower bumper valence. Just removed it and will keep it in case of long trips as I do think it makes a difference in driving experience at the higher speeds.

I pulled mine off and noticed no changes at all in any driving conditions, including four trips from DC to Detroit. I don't miss it either.
