    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
They need to swap the frame or replace LARGE sections like this:

Thank you! I’m super excited to get the inner fenders and fuel cell done... they are going to be game changers for the taco

Hi, i'm wondering on the tacoma, does it have a pair of radiator support brackets? if so are those retained after installing the Lower Control arm Pivots?
Thanks! @81Trekker . also, do you think its a possibility for you to fabricate 934 axles for the 4runner? Having some really bad luck with RCV, sending them back a second time, just got them back from warranty last week also.

Radiator support brackets? On the Tacoma the LCA has nothing to do with the radiator

As for the 934’s the Tacoma ones should work, depending on the OE axle spline count you might have to get the Tacoma 29 spline stars

Please let us know when you take that thing on the roads in MD so we can stay away.

Seriously, that 'runner needs a body-off frame replacement. Take a look at the frame build for the basketcase re-sas for some ideas. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/project-basketcase-another-resas-story.441592/

Thanks for the reply. Rust free frames in the rust belt just don't exist, so everyone is trying to find ways to squeeze more life from otherwise good running vehicles. It was worth a shot to ask since you definitely have the abilities to properly design and fabricate on a production level.

I'll just enjoy this thread and remember the days long ago when I was stationed at Pendleton and got in with the desert crowd and enjoyed it so much. Glamis, Ocotillo Wells, inner trails going from the southern edge of the Salton Sea all the way to Barstow. Watching the Barstow to Vegas hare-scrambles, the Mint 400,( especially Thunder Alley, when the class 8 trucks were the hot ticket!) going down to Ensenada to watch the 1000 start and finish. Man, I miss the desert!

What are you talking about? She's practically mint...

If you saw some of the botched up "repairs" done by "fabricators" then being sold to unsuspecting buyers, you'd be really scared. Mine isn't too bad compared to some of the rigs that are lifted w/ snorkles and ARB bumpers.

Don't worry, that lower link doesn't see any stress under normal operation, so I'm sure the compressed rust holding it onto the truck will be fine:rofl::rofl:

For those of you running the JD Fabrication LCA Pivots what mid skid and tcase skids are you running?

I have BAMF skid plates on order but after talking to them they said their mid skid requires the use of their IFS skid plate...which I won’t be using with JD’s LCA pivots setup.

Curious if anyone has ran into similar issues with mid skid fitment from other manufacturers?

Would be good to get a database going of what fits / requires modification.

This is part of the reason I will be starting with the JD Fab setup and then build off of that.

This pic shows where my Pelfreybilt midskid ended up after removal of the Pelfrey ifs skid. I could have reused the PB skids but chose not too. Would have been pretty easy to adapt something in there to reuse it. upload_2021-1-19_10-46-37.jpg
