It mostly comes back to you...I did a recert course 2 dives ago because it had been 3 years...Now of course it's going to be some time because we usually do a Caribbean cruise for Feb vacation...So sad...
I'd love to retire in 10 years to someplace I can dive and my wife can enjoy the warmth. That was Roatan. AMAZING

I'm spoiled. Mammoth only has 4 shitty months that we have to clear snow from the site. Other then that it's sunny and warm with no rain. If you ever want to get some work here let me know. It's insanely busy right now. I wish there was 3 of me. lol

Yep. I went wheeling up to 9000' and didn't even get into snow. It's bleak.

That pricing looks super reasonable for what you get.

I did my certification dives in Lake Tahoe, in a 12mm wetsuit (core)..........in April.

It was snowing. Was both an extremely cool and miserable experience at the same time.

I needed an elective in college, so a buddy and me signed up for scuba. Taught by the same professor that taught my 400 level history classes for my minor. He dove in a dry suit that had more duct tape than material. One of the smartest, yet most eccentric people I've come across in my life lol

I got certified in March and April and we did our dives in Folly Cove in Gloucester MA.
I had a Full wet suit (NOT A DRY SUIT), Hood and Lobster claw gloves. The surface temperature was 40F. The bottom temperature was 34F. My dive buddy for one of the dives was a 16 year old girl who had about 0.1% body fat. She was frozen before we reached the bottom. When you have your mask pulled off in 34F water it's shocking to say the least. That was one of those moments you never forget. We also had to do the remove and put back on the gear at depth...Oof...cold.

I got my Open Water at 13. I started taking the course when I was 12 and the final test dive was on my B-Day. This was before PADI had the Junior Open Water designation so you had to be 13 to certify. I dove a ton from 13-20. Then I stopped diving completely.

That sounds not too different from what we did. Pulling that mask off when the water is at freezing level, but not frozen just due to pressure. Yah, that's a fun experience lol.

Fun fact about diving Tahoe. If you come up from Reno, you have to spend about an hour or so after you dive just hanging around before you head back down so you don't get out of water bends.

I forget the math, but diving down 60' at Tahoe is something like 90' at Sea level. We had to do everything on dive wheels (2003-ish). No dive computers allowed.

I still have my gear. 12mm core, 5mm hood, 3mm boots and hands. 'twas chilly. I've since sold my BCD and tanks and regulators, but I've kept my neoprene for when I go snorkeling.

I remember on the first dive, sinking down, and all these crayfish saw us coming and stuck their pincers up like they were gonna fight us. Absolutely hilarious.

We dove out of Sand Harbor, to a place called the wall. There's an old ancient tree trunk that sits on the edge of the in shore to the deep of the lake. Tahoe is super clear, and you can see this tree trunk go from bright color to just black abyss. Go to the end of the tree and can't recover, and you're down at the bottom of a freezing lake that'll preserve your body for eons.

Back to GME gawker sideline. Bought $37 1/22 call Friday at $4, sold this morning at $10.50. That was enough excitement for me.

    Cheers @kairo !
