The wife has demanded that we have frozen smoked turkey on hand at any given point, so I have a feeling I’ll be testing it with a turkey soon after it arrives.
Did you ever use lump coal with it? Or just standard briquettes? I’m sold on lump coal for my smoker, I might try it on this.

I love that lump coal! Low ash, good temp. Perfect for my small fire bowl on my bullet style smoker.

Never heard of it. What is that?

I am currently trying the broken easy out in the broken bolt technique.

Oh no! it’s when you get the broken bolt hot as hell, then melt a crayon into it. The wax will follow the threads and you can sometimes back the bolt right out after it cools.

It's been brought up in the past and was mentioned again yesterday at his appointment that my youngest is eligible for Make-A-Wish. I've always had it in my head that it's children that are dying and he's doing amazingly well so I've never really considered it or discussed it with him.

Years ago apparently before they made the change from "one last fun thing before they pass" to "anyone that has a chronic illness that most don't have to deal with", my cousin had leukemia when she was around 12 and Make-A-Wish sent the entire family (6 kids and both parents) to Disney World. She then fully recovered.

Put on the spot, my son didn't have any ideas what he'd want to do but after I mentioned it to my wife when we got home, he said he wanted Obama to fly to Fargo so he could meet him. I'm not sure if he was serious or not.

That then morphed into flying the 4 of us to Washington D.C., first class, naturally, being put up in a nice hotel and meeting him. Again, no idea if he's serious or not.

I honestly thought he'd just say he wanted four PS5s.

I'm trying to look into the rules but I'm not really coming up with much. The only requirement I'm seeing is it has to happen before he's 18. I'd like to see if they'd cover a trip to New Zealand because that's what he wants for his graduation present. Not sure if they'd go for that, though, as that certainly isn't cheap!

That makes my heart happy that there’s programs like that out there. I hope he has fun with whatever he chooses. I can’t imagine, and hope I never have to figure out what it’s like to have to be in a situation like that.
All my best to you and your family! :hattip:

Every 20 minute job is a "thread" away from becoming a 3 day and 30 pack of beer ordeal:rofl:

That happened to me on our Jeep Liberty and the front brake job I had to do. Thing was from upstate New York and is rusty as shit. I knew I was in for a treat when the one lug nut stripped out before even touching the brakes...
