I have noticed for some time, and just now getting fed up with it.... when I turn up the bass, there is a rattling coming from the driver side window switch plastic panel. The top side piece that surrounds the control switches.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this in their 3rd gens, but its driving me fucking crazy. I took it to the shop and they stated that it was not a piece covered under warranty.

It feels like it could be solved with maybe some double sided tape? I dont want to use glue in case I have to get back in there some day.

Is this a panel that can just pop off? Is there a diagram of clips for this piece I could reference to pop it off and try some tape?

I have that also. My knee resting on the door panel stops it.

Yes. The switch panel will pop off without removing anything else. No fasteners, just clips. Been lazy about trying to fix it.

I’m having this same experience. I’ll probably remove the switch panel to see if I can find the culprit when I have the time

Exactly what I do, and as dumb as it sounds, I can totally tell the difference when I dont have my knee resting on it. Must be a faulty piece of plastic or clip on that side. Or maybe its the knee that makes it loose?

I popped all of them off last week and placed felt tape under them where there's contact. No more rattle or movement.

Same thing here. I also rest the knee when I can, but that isn't feasible when driving around town. The clutch keeps my left leg busy.

Interested to see what someone has done to fix it.

Sounds like a pretty simple fix... just a few clips is what it sounds like?

Probably not the knee making it happen as the panel flexs a bit.

Under the individual switches or the switch panel itself?

Same here with driver door. Almost like a buzzing sound. I stuffed a rag in the space beneath the part you grab onto and it helped for a while. Now its back.

Anybody have a rattle from the glovebox? Sounds like a BB bouncing around in the actual glovebox door. I put my hand on it and it stops.

Did you basically cover all 4 sides of the switch cluster with the felt tape?
