Polyurethane Radiator Support Mounts (Cab Also)

None whatsoever.

 

Mine is a little off center it’s not a big deal just ocd lol

 

I did.

Each side is about 1/4" higher than the tops of the fender. The center is lined up with the grille, as it should be.

I'd like to fix it, but haven't taken the time to find the alignment issue.

 

That is most likely not a result of these bushings.

 

big puck on top or bottom?

 

My driver side is closer to the fender and a little lower than the passenger side thought it would be a problem when opening the hood but no problems so not really worried about it I’ll eventually find out how to fix it

 

IIRC, big puck is on top.

 

For those that have installed the poly cab bushings, check that the smaller bolts that mount to the frame are still tight. Two of mine (driver front and passenger rear) had backed off considerably. This is with many miles of off-road over about 3 years. Worth checking.

 

what if my nut and bolt are totally shot(rusted) to the point where i cant reuse them?
also have people used neverseize inside the sleeve so it prevents it from seizing with bolt? any need to lube between body and upper washer?

 

Wow. Already had these on my truck for more than five years. No cracks nor adverse effects.

Of course, my truck doesn't get the flex time like others here.

 

Would think you could order new bolts from your local dealer. And yea, living in the NE I never seize most things I add to the truck haha

I finally got around to doing mine. I was planning on using the smaller bushings on top but it was loose fitting before I even slid the bolt back in.

 

can you just loosen the rad support to swap or do you need to also loosen the cab? I bought all but may just add the rad support for now. Debating on universal or the kit. I have both.

 

I don’t remember, I think there is enough flex but at worst you would just need to loosen the front cab mounts a bit.

 

No, you don’t. Steering coupler may need to be loosened though

 

I did not need to any thing but pry the old ones out and pry the new ones in. I didn't remove the wheels or anything. I tried to use the jack method but I just ended up using a pry bar.

 

did any of you get a click or clack noise (when the shocks compress) from the rad support bushings being worn? I've been troubleshooting a noise. Only when the front end hits a dip or something similiar?

 

Based on your description, check to make sure the LCA bolts (a.k.a. alignment cams) are torqued to spec.

 

I have one of those noises.

However, I also have the poly bushings installed.
