My OME 887s on 5100s are down to 1" lift with a stock bumper. Pretty pissed, but want to fix it.
What are my options? Move up a notch or 2?
    Replace with 886 coils?
    Spacers?
Definitely not replacing with 887s again. Seems to be a common thing.

    Thank you!

You could put back on the stock coils.

I'm cheap. I'd put on OEM springs and move up the notches.

You could probably get the stock coils locally. They work great with the 5100's

Exactly what I did. 2” front lift 5100’s
On Oem coils. Yes let’s face it a little it’s firmer For me that’s what I wanted. I air down on trails no big deal. Also I’m on e rated tires. No complaints from this guy.
    Good luck OP.

This is exactly what happened to me. I was pissed. I put a 1 inch spacer to make up for the sag and it turned out great. Kept the same ride.

It’s very common for the OME coils to sag over time. There are copious amounts of threads mentioning this issue. I personally was running 887 coils that sagged back to stock height. Swapped the fronts for 6112’s which sagged by a half inch not even. Cheaper route like some people said previously is probably to just get oem coils and raise the clip.

    OEM coils = no sag

    Morning,
could you please calify your statement? 6112's = 1/2" sag.

is that with the previously mentioned "saggy" 887's? meaning you had some sag, then the only thing you upgraded was the the 5100's to 6112?

    Thanks

I don’t know the exact measurement of sag with the 6112’s but they did sag a tad. The 6112 is a whole coilover so it included its own coils with the kit. The 887’s are not compatible since the 6112 is a 2.5 inch shock body.

Well it’s not their product, they are just a dealer. OME should be the one to address this but I’ve read in their defense that their coils where not designed for the bilstein shock and “engineered” to be paired with their own OME shocks. The OME coils on 5100’s is just a combo that’s common on TW and in theory does work since it’s just a typical coil for a 2.0 body shock. Bilstein advertises the front 5100 to be paired with the stock coils, hence the adjustable clips.

yea no ones fault but mine. crazy though how so many people on TW rave about that setup. It still rides nice though and good thing I just went with 265/75s tires.

Do you have initial measurements (floor/hub to fender) after the lift?

Was thinking about going that route. Where did you get your spacers at? How much did you gain?

Maybe its the heavy duty 5100s are compressing the OME coils too much. Maybe this is why Bilstein says to use the factory coils!

Hard top camper...many more to add+
You may want to visit a few springs shops...maybe they can re-ark the OME springs or add or put new ones...
I had done this one time before to get more height in the rear..plus handle a bigger payload.. I was thinking of the rears..

Front coil spring should be replace (alway do both sides..)
    Aloha
