Will the latches and Spindles be replaceable? Also can the latches be adjusted for tightness. I have had a jeep bumper swingout become loose and it didn't have adjustable compression latch to remedy the play. Bumper looks great, will it be any narrower that the Current one available, it seems a bit bulky on the corners of the bumper itself, (is it to accommodate for the BSM sensors?)

The latches and pivot mechanism will all be replaceable if needed.

We are going to make sure we don't have issues with it rattling. That drives us crazy as well.

It will not be any narrower than the current bumper. This is partially due to the BSM sensors, but we also wanted the bumper to stick out a little to give some protection for the people that get into rougher trails.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hows the R&D coming along? Do you have a closer idea for a starting production date?

Hey Mike! Our pre-production is almost built. Just got them out of the laser cutter. After they go through thorough testing we will post up more photos and updates!

Yep, good catch! This was corrected a long time ago but at the time this was just a rough CAD draw up as reference for you guys.

How are your latches going to function? I know it wont be like the CBI one, what about one like the expedition one latches?

Unfamiliar with either of those quite honestly. These will be push to close with a lever that releases them.

I like the Expedition one closure. Its just a thought. Below the Expedition one is the CBI closure which you can see the lever over the license plate.

I figured. Good idea using those strike latches! It would be slick if you could 'hide' them on the 'inside' of the sheet metal swing outs. Like a car door.

We were thinking that too! The only reason we didn't go that route was the for tailgate clearance when its fully open. If the latches were any higher it would interfere.

This makes me wonder, will there be a need to relocate the camera at all?
If so, will there be a harness/bracket of sorts to do so?

This will 100% need a camera relocation. We're planning on including it with the kit. Not sure on the harness for liability purposes. We tried extremely hard to work around that, but its hard to get past that 35" tire.

Isn't there potential for a clause that says "we are not responsible for any damage to OEM factory wiring or components based on faulty wiring completed by others that are not Apogee Offroad" or something like that?

Also, definitely looking forward to some newer photos and stuff.

We're hoping that the factory tailgate harness is going to be long enough that we don't worry about it at all. We'll see, we haven't ripped the harness out of ours yet.

We will definitely keep you guys posted on here!

@Apogee Offroad can you show what the latch system looks like. I really like the Expedition One latch system but I like that fact that I can keep my BSM with your bumper. Also will there be a cover for the BSM that is completely flush with the bumper? Thanks.
