Thanks. Accutune is telling me I need to go ext length to get 2" and that forces me into UCA's (which is OK, just wasn't planning on it). Did you adjust on truck by jacking up or remove and compress first?

 

they would be correct. & you jack up that wheel so its off the ground, loosen the nut a little, then get to crankin.

I just installed fox 2.5 0"-3" on my double cab and got just over 2" in front from them how they come. I am adjusting them higher next week which is only recommended to do with the 0-3" coils.

I contacted fox and if you need to make adjustments, every 2 full turns = about 1/4"

Hey guys just seen this thread I have some bilstein 6112 I’ve had for about a month there cool shocks but I’m really looking to build my truck into a runner more than an overlander like originally planned I just don’t think I’m going to be camping enough to have to add all that weight, anyways I’m looking into selling my 6112 and getting some fox 2.5 or kings any advantage or disadvantage to either I’m leaning more twords fox because kings are very hard to get right now

 

Fox and King both make great products. Fox may have the edge on quality, but that also comes with a higher price point. Both can be tuned to ride amazing. Both Fox and King have massive lead times right now, unless a vendor already has them on order like us.

After calling Accutune and discussing my planned usage of my truck they advised me to go with Fox, I've been very happy with my decision and the performance of my shocks, but I couldn't say Fox is better then King or vise-a-versa both great products

Can I run these shocks on stock uca or will they rub?

 

2.0's yes, 2.5's no

 

Oh I’m running the bilstein 6112 now which don’t rub but are also 2.5 I was going to buy the front shocks to upgrade for now but I guess I need to get some icon delta joints too

 

I think it is dependent on how much lift you dial in to the 2.5s..plus there are two different model 2.5s, with different amounts of travel.

 

I did not know this, thanks. Yep 6112s are 2.36" pretty cool! My Toytec 2.0s rubbed on my stock arms so I never even tried my 2.5s, but I don't think it'd works well!

 

Getting some high quality UCA's (Camburg, TCF, Kibbetech, 74weld, SPC, just to name a few) will allow you to maximize the travel from extended travel shocks, and dial in your alignment specs to what you like, most commonly adding positive caster.

 

I'm running 2.5s with stock UCAs. I don't rub but I also didn't crank them all the way up. I think I'm sitting at about 1.5 inches of lift after settling (maybe more) and the alignment shop was able to get everything within factory specs, which is something that is required here (Oahu, Hawaii).
