Night Rider your Truck?

Anyone ever thought of putting some LED's in hood scoop? I just happened to see night rider last night was hey now.....

 

If i remember correctly, someone on here did that.

 

I thought about doing this actually, but then someone told me it would look too rice-ish. lol

 

Well I figured the hood scoop is non functional, might as well let it function somehow.

We would probably catch shit for doing that here in Cali anyway.. impersonated an officer or some stupid shit...

 

Only if its blue or red.. Maybe somehow rig up HIDs in there. That would be BA, but it would probably be a tight fit

 

Need another poll option. I myself wouldn't do it (I'm anti-bling) but I don't think it's a dumb idea. So just a "not for me" option would be good.

 

A kid I knew in high school had it on a light blue Ford Tempo. It looked terrible, but you had to appreciate the irony of it being on such a POS

 

No, it would still be illegal. You can't have flashing lights on your vehicle which is what it would probably be considered, unless it falls into one of the exemptions:

You could probably have them, but you couldn't drive with them on.

Myself, I think it'd look tacky.

 

I did this mod along time ago for my 1993 acura integra. i put one of those led strips just below the hood and just cut i thin hole in the bumper and put it in and put plexiglass over the top of it. I would turn it on at night and the kids in the neighborhood would go nuts for it... and it was real fun for halloween. i would keep the leds on driving around town ..it was a real eye catcher untill the cops pulled me over.. i told the cop it was for halloween and it was a temp thing. he got wise to me when he found the toggel switch and said that does not look so temp to me. lol
sounds like a cool idea for the hood scoop, but it would be even better inside an after market grill. it would look really nice at night

It would look horrible on a Tacoma. Well, on any vehicle, IMO.

 

or maybe mount a small LCD screen in there and play porn. Or if someone in front if you pisses you off just make it flash a middle finger. ha

 

Of course flashing lights are illegal. Im talking just Lights....

 

I think its a good idea. I would have to see it first, But I think it would look BA. Ofcourse I'm a Knight Rider Fan. I even got the freaken Ring tone of the old show theme song. lol

 

I think it would look pretty good on a blacked-out taco.

 

I know, I was talking about your "only red or blue" comment. I should have cut the last part of your post out. Sorry for the misunderstanding. And my tacky comment was in reference to the Night Rider lights.

 

Hey you could do it and if you don't like it remove it or just leave it off. Illegal is illeagle no matter what it is, no seat belt, fog lights on in town, speeding, going too slow. Go for it, take some pics I would like to see it.
