Far better than the ALG, not as nice as the Geissele triggers. I put it on par with CMC triggers, but half the price.

No, I have an IQ over 45.

This ^^ More so the lack of gap between the hammer and disconnector.

    Understood.

This is the article I was referencing.
"Check disconnector and hammer tolerance. If all else fails, your disconnector may be out of spec. The distance between the hammer and disconnector hooks (with the trigger at rest and the sear holding the hammer) should measure 0.003". If this tolerance is too great, you'll need to replace your disconnector or lightly polish and remove some material from the front lower side of the disconnector, where it rests on the trigger.

To check tolerance, hold the trigger down and press down on the hammer. The hammer hook should engage the disconnector, preventing it from flying up. If the hammer misses the disconnector, your disconnector is to blame. If polishing the disconnector, be sure to re-measure your tolerances. If the tolerance gets too low (below 0.003"), you'll run into another failure to reset."

Man! Wish I'd have seen that before buying my CMC! Found it for $130 at Primary Arms and it feels wonderful but... man!

Strongly considering taking a carbine class in about a month, so I am trying to get some decent practice in beforehand. I know I'm no expert but just don't want to look like a total noob or a Level 14 Mall Ninja! Got my chest rig yesterday and will be getting that sorted, along with learning to effectively utilize my sling. So many straps 'n hooks 'n compartments!!

Honestly you'll be fine with any trigger. Any improvement is great, but not really needed. Issued M4s have gritty heavy triggers (9 lbs +).

I had polished my stock trigger and it did have a nice, clean break but at 7 pounds. While it was certainly better, it was not conducive to accurate semi-rapid fire. With the CMC, there was very noticeable improvement in my accuracy, but I would've been thrilled to try the LaRue for $50 less!

I know this is going to sound stupid, but can someone point me to a good video or website showing how to use a single point sling?
