The Expanse (Syfy then Prime series & Some Book Stuff)- Still Canceled

The joys of a Monday holiday.

The workday feels like a Monday but The Expanse will be on at 7:00

(Doesn’t apply to all you retired Inners..)

 

Hopefully better than last week. I was quite bored most of the episode.

 

Been wanting to get in on this thread but I have 2 more episodes to catch up on before tonight. Started the series about 3 weeks ago after giving in to my "no sci fi shows" rule. I'm glad I did because this is one of my favorite shows I've seen in awhile.

 

The Best Sci-Fi.

 

Not 100% bored but the writers have beat the living shit out of the family squabble.

Oh it might be alive, let's beat on it some more..............

 

‘Formulaic” comes to mind..but with some decent twists...

I admit, I went down a rabbit hole of internet info based on "can a human being survive being in space without a suit" after Naomi spaced herself to jump ships...I apparently had a bunch of misinformed ideas about what would happen if someone did that lol. Pretty interesting stuff

Kinda sad to see that Cyn died though, I liked him. That actor always plays likable characters even when he's a dick

 

Love this show. I was just telling a co-worker about it an hour ago. I so wish I had a spaceship. Whenever they show panning shots of the Roci, I fantasize about having my own ship. And the reference to Don Quixote isn't lost on this English major. Love that shit.

This show usually gets the science pretty good, but why did Naomi's ship have gravity when it was not under thrust?(super heavy grating she had to lift)

 

I think a big reason streaming platforms are doing weekly episodes now is because it keeps people from subscribing to the streaming service for the free trial period, binging the show/shows they wanted to see and then cancelling. Weekly drops keeps them subscribed for the duration of the show, but then it's those same people that end up dropping 1 star reviews because they can't get it for free imo.

I'm bummed because I just discovered The Expanse and have been bingeing on it for the last 3 weeks, just caught up today. Now what do I do guess I'll go and rewatch the first season lol.

There's eight books out there, too y'know.. With a ninth on the way this year.

 

Forgot yesterday was Tuesday so I just caught up on Ep 9. One of the stronger episodes this season but unfortunately, it’s Ep. 9...
