Like so. 1/8" ABS + 1/8" coroplast = perfect 1/4" to slide into the 80/20 slot.

I have tried bungee cord, but they have worn through the white paint in the roof. This was after buying plastic bungee hooks and covering them in a thick fleece for protection.

Does anyone have an idea for protecting the roof with bungees in place?

For me, the scratches are closer to the roof than the base which led me to believe it was the load bar. I specifically watch for the outer struts when closing the tent to make sure I prevent any binding or closing issues. And I think if it were the lift struts, the markings/scratches would be on the outside of the tent material, and possibly both sides. My markings/scratches are on the inside of the tent, and only on the side with the load bar. I'll try and get a pic of that area from the outside.

Thats way slick. Very close to what I'm hoping to do. Did you make that fridge slide?

Also how have people been attaching their 80/20 to their baseplates?

    Thanks!

Yes, I made the fridge slide. Under the plywood top is a riveted aluminum structure that bolts to the slides.

The cabinets are attached to the baseplate with small aluminum L-brackets, bolted into 1/4"x20 T-Nuts inserted from the bottom side.

How did you recess the aircraft track in the baseplate? I realllllly want to do this in order to make my cabinets modular to a degree, for those weird "I really need a truck not a camper right now" moments.

FYI to the Vagabond team, my tent material is showing this same wear. I'm pretty sure it's on both sides and right near the struts, but I'm not exactly sure what's causing it. I can try to get a good picture of mine if it'd be useful to see a tent that's 1.5 years old...

Edit: "wear" is not the right word; there is no damage to the integrity of the tent material. It appears to just be lubricant staining from the gas struts. It's on the outside of the tent, on both sides. Kinda looks like it's from rubbing the strut while opening/closing.

It doesn't appear that this spot touches the struts when the tent is closed though...

Yes, because to be awarded a patent one must have created an issue-proof product. /sarcasm

More than stoked on my Drifter. Super bomber product with thoughtful design and the perfect level of functionality/simplicity for my purposes. Would do over again, 110%. Also, I like that the VO guys are on here actually talking with their customers about occasional real-world issues.

To be clear, the tent material isn't breaking down, it's just some staining from the gas struts. I've edited my post accordingly.
