The wrap is not what I was interested in, good idea though. The magnets are perfect and I will look for black strips for my truck and I bet some plain sheets to roll on and off wouldn't be more than 100 bucks? No scratches and original for the rest of the time.

    edit.
    maybe something like this

Just a matter of cost and your own trimming time. You'll need 4 rolls of this to cover the sides of the truck, probably 6 rolls total to cover the hood and roof: https://www.amazon.ca/Magnet-Expert®-Orange-Flexible-Magnetic/dp/B00HDEV1YU/

    4 rolls = $500
    6 rolls = $750

understand that if you do go offroad. you will get dirt on the truck, you will get dust in the truck, and you will get scratches on it even if you clear everything out with a chainsaw before hand.
I got a 8ft scratch that goes from the front passenger fender, straight to the back of the cab, hundreds of pin stripes across everything that is vaguely a surface (yes had a branch get caught under the truck and pinned up against the bed and the cab) and the best i can do is clean it thoroughly, clay bar it, and added in another coat of paste wax to seal it all. Anything that shows through is considered a trail badge and i've accepted that fate and fact of doing trails will scratch the shit out of the truck and i'm fine with it. Deeper scratches still hurt, but the rest doesn't bother me anymore.

Take the advise from the other guys, as nice as the magnets might be in terms of design - add in double to cost and you have an airtight protective coating/clear bra/ vinyl wrap which you might be able to customize and have the design you wish to be added in.

if you are hoping to go offroad and keep the truck pristine, you're either; driving down paved roads, gravel roads, or open use logging roads/ trails, otherwise the virgin paint will be tainted. the only person here that has been offroad and miraculously kept the black paint clean and factory-like is @daks

Pinstripes on the roof are actually more likely than on the flanks, because overhanging tree branches are more difficult to trim during trail maintenance. Happens wheeling pretty much anywhere with trees (i.e. entirety of this continent outside of desert/rocky states like California and Utah).

BTW, in the November Ganaraska ride, I got a thumb-sized scratch on my RH access door from a dead branch that fell from the sky. That part of the trail / dirt road was otherwise wide enough to fit a full-size pickup through. Just dumb luck.

Can't remember how many times i had a low lying branch clipped the backrack/ light bar of mine lol

You can avoid and mitigate scratches/ damage on the trails around here but you will never be truly immune to it.
but as long as you're comfortable with chance and risk of it happening, then go nuts and have fun on any trail you can find. the more challenging trails will require you to accept that scratches and damage is unavoidable.

Yeah better to put your own scratches on your truck than to have it keyed in your work parking lot. Welcome to District 6ix...

or get cement. i'm the only one that can see the pin stripes, everything else is invisible unless 3 inches away from it.

Do you wash yours as often as mine? When it rains or when I can't see out the drivers side window.

Most trails in Ontario are like the pictures @vonclicas and @Shveet posted. Ganaraska is an exception as it consists of mostly dirt roads easy enough to drive a Corolla through.

Typical Ontario trail at the beginning of season (May). Put on headphones for optimum pinstriping ASMR experience:

My truck was just over a year old at the time with about 18,000 kms.
