Pepboys Tire Sale on Falkens 285s @ $97 and $112

Well just basically got told to get fucked
My brother paid a restocking fee on tires he had ordered and canceled from a local tire shop, when he ordered these from PepBoys and they just canceled his tires too

 

I said it on page 2. Now call their bluff. Call them out on bait and switch.

I won't go to Pep boys for anything there since they tried to rip me off in the service department by saying my 1988 Isuzu needed new rear wheel bearings while in for shocks and Got my arm twisted to take there special on installation of said shocks. I had just replaced the bearings with a brake job 6 months before. That company is crooked and I have no clue how the local store near me stays open except for decades ago they were the only big parts store around.

That they place Bait adds don't suprise me.

I can get a fair deal from a local small tire dealer.

 

Got a call saying tires are ready to be picked up

 

did they have them?

 

Sadly I'm not free until the weekend to pick them up.

I doubt that they wouldn't have them.

 

So turns out what happened was they were suppose to mark a different type of tire down to $97 because it's being discontinued, but they marked this tire instead. Eventually when they figured it out they pulled it off the site. Still not on the site now but I'm sure it'll be back up, but for the right price sadly. Picked mine up yesterday and apparently there was someone else who also did the same at the same pepboys I went to.

 

I ordered up 5 for pickup at my local store yesterday morning, the auto email reply says pickup available tomorrow. I somewhat expect them to cancel the order and I do not need tires imminently, but it would be cool if I score a set to try out soon for a great price.

 

Same thing happened with me. The person at the shop even doubted they'd come because they didn't see any fedex orders coming next day on their end. But then next day comes and she calls me saying they came. Make sure you jump on it fast, they can still cancel it if you don't pickup and they'll sell em to someone else.

 

Just picked my set up no problem

 

I was pumped when I saw this thread and thought it was a crazy good clearance sale.
I was a little bummed but totally understanding when I found out it was likely a pricing error and assumed it would be cancelled.

Long story short


Shout out to Pepboys for honoring a deal they didn’t have to. Now I might have to buy new wheels sooner.

I had added 4 Mickey Thompson’s ATZ’s into the cart yesterday, still there, but they won’t let me access the cart or add anything to it.

It’s over.....lol.

 

Nope, the store actually called and said they were out from the supplier
