No worried at all about that.

Still haven't pulled the trigger on the RokBlokz, they have a black logo on them. Wish no-logo was an option :) I'm overthinking this.

They do have a logo, but on average it's hardly noticeable

Just watched the powers that be delete a thread asking why TC gets to wrongfully enforce their design patents on TW startups. I'm starting to see a pattern lol. Don't offer any bed stiffeners for sale. TC will come after you.

It's just a bit odd since other vendors on the site definitely sell bed stiffeners. I wonder how closely the no-no stiffeners resembled the TC ones.

EDIT: I just looked. They are designed totally differently. I'm not sure that the design patent is enforceable at all lol. Whatevs. Good info to have though. I won't be offering my stiffener up on here anyway :anonymous:

Not sure they have threads but regardless it's not a war I'm gonna get in on.
All of em have pretty much the same general design.

Patents are a complicated subject. It's more than just design but also purpose. Waste of time on TC's part in my opinion.

Agreed. I'm not even trying to put anybody on blast. I respect the rules on principle and in spirit. I happen to follow a copyright lawyer and it interests me.
Yeah, the issue is that a 'Ute tray and canopy isn't standard.

I couldn't find the specific patent based on the number in the deleted thread, but all of it depends on what the design feature in the patent is. Not to mention that there may be more than one. I totally respect the rights of patent holders. However, as somebody who has CAD files of things I have designed myself, I worry that there are an increasing number of legal cases where design patents are being over applied to items that would normally fall under utility patent concepts.:notsure:

EDIT:... and from a business perspective, it's not a waste of time. It has obviously produced desirable results.

Idk, of all the bed stiffeners designs I've looked at, I like TCs the best..... :anonymous:

But more for the placement of horizontal and vertical tie downs over any "issues" with bed flex.

I like theirs as well. I have an increasing gap between my bedsides and tailgate, so I've been looking at them. I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I feel like they are insanely expensive for what they are.

What is the material that you used for the tray flat surface?

Somebody always has 10-15% off on them with free shipping. Gotta dig/get lucky when you look.

It's kind of an experiment, but they're used bleachers.
