ughh! Im not looking forward to that. This spring Im replacing the pulleys, waterpump, radiator and hoses. I went to a 1 piece driveshaft so I dont have to worry about the carrier bearing anymore.. Hopefully not too much else

    06 OR MT, 225k. NYS with a salt-happy county.

Resister thing in the overhead display needed soldering
Rear leafs about a month before the recall
    Alternator
    Water pump
    Blower resister pack
    Blower resister pack again
F*** it, rewired it to use a mosfet
    Fuel door
Brakelines front to back every six years, perhaps this "new alloy" stuff will end that
Power steering is starting to cog a bit, so whatever that ends up being
Tail light lens screws have all sheared the clip things they screw into
    Exhaust every few years
Shocks, Ball joints, usual wear items
Windshield seal sometimes leaks and fills the overhead console, which then pees on your arm when you start the truck (insert Flexseal gif)

Not as good as my FJ60 did, but it'll do.

I think it’s safe to say a naturally aspirated v6 from Toyota has the potential to last much longer than the eco boost 4cyl they put in the new rangers. People freak out when ecoboost f150’s reach 200k. A 2nd gen will go 250k to 300k with proper maintenance period. Watch wheel bearing and u joints.

Mine has 166,000 and it's only needed a water pump and A/C condenser. Everything else is factory parts. Runs perfect. I'm not OCD about maintenance either, just do stuff when required, nothing fancy, although I do run longer OCI (7500 miles/10 months) with full synthetic oil and oversize oil filters. (Toyota specifies conventional OCI 5000 miles/6 months.) I fully expect to get 300k+ out of it.

I got my 2012 almost 4 years ago with 21k on it and have 188k.
    • Both front wheel bearings
    • AC Compressor (probably need the condenser too)
    • Rear leafs (more of a choice for lift and weight)
    • Emissions pump valves x3 (2012 problem)
    • Bluetooth in the radio went out so I upgraded.
Then just brakes, tires, oil. This spring I need to do shocks and I have an oil leak at the front of the engine. Probably the timing chain door, sounds like a good time to do the serpentine belt and pulleys.

I'd say 11 is the best year, but your really splitting hairs at the point. Talking about 10 year old trucks, the best one you can buy is the one that has been maintained the best. I'd rather do an airpump delete on a well loved 2012 than buy a beat to shit 2011.

There's no issue w/ the 12 - 15's. $3 uni filter on the SAIP and it's not a worry anymore.

That is the air pump. The valves that it pumps into fail regularly and send the truck into limp mode. There is a TSB and warranty extension on it.

14 about to hit 160k. only thing ive had to really mess with are the bushings/bearings and changing out shocks and replacing brakes. Other than that no engine problems and rides like a dream still. the owner before me drove pretty much only on the highway and traveled a bunch so it had very little city driving which i believe helped its longevity. Im having trouble with a slight pull towards the left consistently, not sure where its coming from but with nearly 160k, no complaints from me. Obviously i maintain it the best i can by driving without harsh acceleration or braking and take care of monthly items like oil and cleaning air filters and whatnot but worth it considering its saving my wallet from having to make big repairs in the future.
Hope this helped a little bit!

Lol, wtf? I'm going to roll over 150k in the next week or so and I've had no issues whatsoever. I have done all the standard recommended maintenance and upgraded my suspension with a Bilstein 5100/OME and new upper/lower control arms but this was completely voluntary.

There's always an extension on emission systems. That's standard. A TSB means nothing. It's a fix bulletin for the techs. Not a recall. There's TSB on damn near anything that breaks.
