Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

Not quite, but good enough IMO, especially for an aftermarket part.



Mine is out at the same two locations, plus the blemish on the handle, and a lower bolt cover that doesn't stay flush.

 

Apparently, I am stuck in shipping purgatory. Originally, it said it would be here today. It's only been since the black Friday sale in 2019, why should I expect shipping to go well?

 

Why was the label created so late (Jan 7) if you ordered so early on in the process?

Oh.....wait........

 

The bulge by the windshield appears even on the OEM trim. I have it both on my driver's and passengers side. If you have MESO's puddle lights, the harness makes the bulge even more obvious.

 

I didn't know installing @MESO's lights enlarges your bulge.

 

Bigger is better

 

You have to run a wiring harness in that location so it can create a bulge if the connector sits a certain way. Usually more visible on sunroof models due to the water drain tube taking up some of that space.

 

NEVER HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING BEFORE.

Order placed & paid 12/21/19, # 109 on pre-order list, shipped on 01/01/21 delivered 01/19/21.
Surprisingly, after spending 18 days with USPS, the box looks perfect. So excited that I haven't opened it yet.

 

Hope your excitement doesn't come to an abrupt end once you open the box. Here's to hoping it's in good shape with all the correct parts/hardware!

Yes it was finally delivered on Thursday around noon. The clip-nut was incorrect size (m8 instead of m6) as many others on TW have also found. The other parts are correct and the plastic pillar and handle parts look fine, without any manufacturing defects/imperfections.

I have not attempted the install yet. A few hours after the grab handle arrived I was “taken out” by my 6-month-old 45-pound Weimaraner. He ran full speed into me while playing, hitting me below my left knee. Luckily he was only dazed but otherwise seems to be ok. That’s not the case for me. I now have a hyperextended knee and bone bruise and am getting around the house on a walker and rolling office chairs. It could easily be another week or two until I can walk again.

Your reputation had really taken a beating at TW. Most that have received the handle by now are generally pleased with it I think, but the poor communication and the fact that many “new” recent orders were being filled before orders that were placed long ago (late 2019/early 2020) is what really caused many people (including me) a lot of grief.

Yep, I got MESO puddle lights.

 

So...who is making the patches or stickers? I’m in for the preorder. Red bubble spammed me this morning but was full of ideas.



edit: I’m partial to the lemon headed one.

 

I'm not a patches / sticker person, but just enjoy using that emoji.
